  • Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

    Yes the shop has heat. At this time there is no Air Conditioning.

  • What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

    You will have a team of 4-5 techs on shift with you.

  • What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

    We offer two shifts. First shift is from 6:00am- 2:30pm and second shift from 2:00pm-10:30pm. We are currently looking for second shift techs.

  • What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

    Shop provides welders, wheel end tools (sockets, torque wrenches etc) tire tools and impact wrenches, A/C machine, hydraulic hose crimpers.

  • What type of break room facility is provided?

    Break room has full size fridge, microwave water cooler and toaster oven

  • How many bays does your shop have?

    We have 5 bays in this shop.

  • How many repair orders do you average per month?

    We average 60-100 work orders a month.

  • What is your parts ordering process?

    Our shop manger orders parts as needed daily.

  • What is your policy on side work?

    Side work is permitted as long as it doesn't interfere with tech's schedule, not allowed in the shop or on the property.

  • Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

    Techs can move up from C to B to A with experience Performance review, will be done after 3 months of employment then once a year Experienced techs work closely with new techs for the first few weeks then gradually let them work on their own but continue to check each job they complete.

  • Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

    Paccar, Cummins, Eaton training, Wheel end, and brake and air system classes. We will also assist current techs in receiving certifications.

  • Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

    Techs can move up from C to B to A with experience

  • Can you describe your performance review process?

    Performance review, will be done after 3 months of employment then once a year

  • What type of safety training is required?

    Luma training is used for Safety Training required by United Road.

  • Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

    Experienced techs work closely with new techs for the first few weeks then gradually let them work on their own but continue to check each job they complete.

  • Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

    We look forward to the opportunity to chat with you prior to scheduling an interview with one of our shop managers. A recruiter will discuss shop details and answer any questions you may have to prepare you for your interview.

  • What do your in-person interviews entail?

    The Shop Manager will meet with the applicant in person. These interviews are to gain knowledge on the applicant's skill level, what type of jobs they have completed in the past, and the experience they may have. The shop manager will also show the applicant around the shop and yard to show them what type of equipment and the work environment.

  • Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

    When we receive your full application, we will process your background check and applicable reports. To give you a peace of mind, we will never run a verification of employment for your current employer until you’ve been hired with us. We can typically qualify candidates almost immediately while on the phone; however, we do have occasions were reports are delayed and the next step may be delayed for a few hours, at most. Ideally, we can get you qualified and scheduled for an interview within the same day. Interview scheduling is based upon your availability and the shop managers. If the shop manager wishes to proceed, you will receive an offer letter from us extending an offer of employment. We will schedule your drug screen and start date! We welcome any notices or prior engagements you need to tend to, so we will schedule everything based upon the timeline you provide.

  • Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

    Recruiting does not send any skill assessment’s prior to hiring

  • After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

    After an in person interview, the recruiter will follow up with the shop manager. We will typically have an answer as to whether we will/will not move forward with a candidate within 24 hours.

  • Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

    The length of the full hiring process is essentially in your hands. Once you’ve completed the full application, we can have you qualified and an interview scheduled within that day. The interview is scheduled at the availability of the shop manager and yourself – so that time frame may vary – but the majority of the time, the shop manager will meet with you within a day or two to conduct the interview. An ideal time frame for start to finish would be roughly a week (application, reports, interview, drug screen, no notice needed for employer so we hire you on once results have been posted)

    Pay Range: $56,150 - $60,000/year ($27.00 - $28.85/hr)

  • C Level Technician
    Pay Range: $47,000 - $52,000/year ($22.60 - $25.00/hr)
    ($22.60 - $25.00/hr)

    Starting at $22.50/ hour
