Hiring Process
  • Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

    Application process is done through hireology, it takes 10-15 minutes.

  • Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

    We will do a phone screen if we're having problems getting the candidate into the dealership, but in-person interviews are preferred.

  • What do your in-person interviews entail?

    In-person interviews are generally done by the Service Director, and 2 other mangers. Discussions include the candidates background, experience, certifications, skill set, and life style. We also discuss career goals, and paths for technicians that want to advance in our industry.

  • Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

    Background check

  • Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

    No formal assessment, skill sets are found out through the discovery process in interview stage.

  • After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

    Usually same day.

  • Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

    Couple of days.

  • Is there anything else you’d like to mention about your hiring process?

    Our hiring process is very streamline and we try and make it as easy as we can on the candidate. We also believe in being very transparent so there are no further questions.

  • Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

    Shop is heated, new shop will be fully climate controlled.

  • What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

    6 Techs 2 Advisors 1 Service Director 1 Hybrid

  • What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

    7:00am-7:00pm (Monday-Friday) 8:00am-2:00pm (Saturday), rotating shift Very flexible schedule, including 4 day work weeks if needed.

  • What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

    All specialty tools, major equipment and lifts.

  • What type of break room facility is provided?

    2 onsite break rooms including fridge, microwave, table, chairs, coffee maker

  • How many bays does your shop have?

    11 bays

  • How many repair orders do you average per month?

    240

  • What is your parts ordering process?

    We have an automated system where the tech builds the RO and sends it to our parts department. Parts specialists will pick the order, and If we don't have the parts on hand they will be received as soon as possible.

  • What is your policy on side work?

    Upon approval, work with service director on that

  • Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

    We try and be as accommodating as we can. Schedules can be very flexible as needed as long as it's discussed ahead of time.

  • Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

    Our owner is on the OSU IT board. Technicians are sent to that program to help improve their skill sets, and an internal plan is set up for lube technicians that want to advance. We also help cover a portion of the technicians scholarship once the program is completed.

  • Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

    Opportunities are endless for the right technician. We will put a technician on a career path, and help them achieve their goals. This can include working into management positions if that is something they are interested in.

  • Can you describe your performance review process?

    There is a direct correlation between our pay plans and review process. Hourly rates will go up based on efficiency and productivity. Comebacks are also reviewed and discussed.

  • What type of safety training is required?

    Basic annual OSHA training

  • Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

    Lube technicians will team up with another member of our team. They will work side-by-side and through repairs, and the advanced technician will be available to answer any additional questions.

  • How does your shop get involved with the local community?

    Currently we work with local schools, including activities like dodgeball tournaments. We also participate in toy drives for Christmas, and work with local tribes.

  • Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

    We work hand in hand with the OSU IT program. Our owner serves on the board, and we bring students into our shop through an apprentice program that we have set up. It's an 8 week program that gives students a chance to gain on the job experience, and expand their industry knowledge.

  • Where do you see the shop in five years?

    In the last year we have landed several large fleet accounts. Because of this we will be building another shop with over 20,000 feet of working space in the late spring to early summer of 2022. We are searching for motivated techs to help fill these open positions at our new locations.

  • A Level Technician
    Pay Range: $65,000 - $120,000/year

    Sliding scale efficiency based, based on 40 hours Sign-On Bonus Available

  • B Level Technician
    Pay Range: $65,000 - $120,000/year

    Sliding scale efficiency based, based on 40 hours Sign On Bonus Available

  • C Level Technician
    Pay Range: $26,000 - $39,000/year

    Position can be hourly, or flagged hours, open to discussion

  • Lube Technician
    Pay Range: $21,000 - $26,000/year

    Hourly paid position

  • Service Advisor
    Pay Range: $48,000 - $95,000/year

    Commission, paid weekly, washout check paid once a month

  • Student Tech / Apprentice
    Pay Range: $10 - $12/hour

    Hourly paid position

Health Insurance Offered 3 different plans available through BCBS. Employer covers the basic plan, there are also additional single and family plans available. Employee is eligible after 30 days of employment.
Dental Insurance Offered Delta dental is our provider, and plan starts after 30 days of employment
Vision Insurance Offered Covered under BCBS, and starts after 30 days of employment.
Retirement Plan Offered 401K will be offered in the spring to summer of 2022
