    Advanced training is always encouraged at all of our locations. We offer online trainings from our manufactures, as well as instructor led trainings in a class room setting and in-house.

    There is always room to grow. We believe in promoting from within. Entry level employees can work their way up to other positions they are interested in with hard work. We run an annual review process that will help employees, and us, stay on task in their individual career paths.

    We run an annual review process. We talk about attendance, work ethic, training, comebacks, what the candidates game plan is and what they want to accomplish, their career path.

  • What type of safety training is required?

    We do safety training with EV, and training with all dealerships that is mandatory for each location.

  • Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

    More experienced technicians will work side-by-side with junior technicians when time permits. They will be there to help through repairs, and to answer any questions.

  • How does your shop get involved with the local community?

    Not yet, but we are looking for opportunities

  • Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

    We are looking to team up with local high schools and tech schools.

  • Where do you see the shop in five years?

    We are always looking to grow as a company, and put the best people around us. Building up our client list is incredibly important for our next couple of years. We can do that by serving, and satisfy customers to the best of our abilities.

    We are looking for good people with the mind set to make a difference.

  • Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

    Paper application, it takes about 5-10 minutes

    We would rather get them in the dealership, but we will if that's what works best for the candidate.

    Interviews are done by management. Discussion includes job history, ability, certifications, career paths, getting to know the candidate.

Health Insurance Offered medical coverage
Dental Insurance Offered Dental coverage is available to Southlake Auto Group Employees and their eligible dependents. Full-time employees are eligible to participate the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
Vision Insurance Offered Vision coverage is available to Southlake Auto Group Employees and their eligible dependents when enrolled in medical coverage. Employee must enroll in Medical to be covered with Vision and Life Insurance.
Retirement Plan Offered Southlake Auto Group recognize the importance of future financial security by making contributions on your behalf to a 401K retirement plan. You qualify for the plan if you are a full-time employee age 21 or above and have completed one year of service at Southlake Auto Group. Participation begins the first of January or July following eligibility. You become 100% vested in plan benefits once you have completed seven years of service.
Sick Leave Offered Southlake Auto Group provides paid sick leave to full-time employees for periods of temporary absence due to illness or injury. Your supervisor may require you to submit a medical certification from your doctor for any absence charged to sick leave. Sick leave benefits begin to accrue after five years of employment at the rate of 2 days per year. Sick leave benefits may not be carried over to the following calendar year.
Vacation Offered Vacation is accrued on an annual basis by full-time employees according to the following schedule: After the anniversary of your first year of service you will earn 5 days of vacation After 3 years and up to 9 years the earned vacation will be 10 days annually After 10 years of service 15 days of annual vacation shall be earned You may not take paid vacation leave until you have accrued the leave. New employees accrue vacation during their first year, but may not take the leave until their second year of employment. Vacation pay for service technicians will be based on their average hourly production for the previous year up to a maximum of their hourly rate multiplied by 10 per day of vacation. Employees may receive up to one week of vacation pay lieu of taking time off from work. unused vacation may not be carried over to the next calendar year. Request for vacation must be submitted in writing to your supervisor or the at least one month prior to your first day of absence. To ensure adequate staffing and to avoid scheduling conflicts, Southlake Auto Group reserves the right to designate when vacations may be taken.
Paid Holidays Offered Southlake Auto Group recognizes six paid holidays each year. Full-time hourly and salaried employees who work an average of 35 hours per week or more on a regular basis are eligible for the holiday pay provided the employee has been continuously been employed for 60 days or longer. Part-time (those who work an average of less than 35 hours), 100% commission-based sales employees and those who have not been employed for 60 days are not eligible for holiday pay. The holidays that the Company recognizes are: - New Years's Day - Memorial Day - Independence Day - Labor Day - Thanksgiving Day - Christmas Day To be eligible for holiday pay, you must work or be on approved paid leave on your normally scheduled work day before and after the holiday. If an employee is, absent on one or both of these days because of an illness or injury, Southlake Auto Group reserves the right to verify the reason for the absence before approving holiday pay. If a holiday falls during an absence for vacation or sick leave, holiday pay will be provided instead of the leave benefit that would have otherwise applied. Stores may or may not be closed on these days and may vary by location. The decision on holiday closings will be made by the President and will be communicated in advance to the other Department Mangers.
ST / LT Disability Offered Southlake Auto Group offers eligible full-time employees the option of participating in the long-term disability plan. The employee is eligible for Disability Insurance the first day of employment or at the regularly scheduled enrollment period held annually.
Life Insurance Offered Southlake Auto Group offers to employees covered under Medical Plan, at no additional cost a term life insurance. This benefit will be paid upon death of the covered employee to those beneficiaries designated by the employee.
Uniforms Offered Clothing that is not permitted for any employee: Tank tops, tune tops, halter-styled tops, denim jeans or shorts, sweat pants, leggings, mini skirts, sneakers or gym shoes are not permitted at any time. Uniforms are provided for technicians by Cintas. Tattoos and Body Piercings: Tattoos and visible body piercings are not permitted. Tattoos must be covered and either a long-sleeved shirt or bandage. Visible body piercings such as noses, tongues, eyebrows, cheeks and lips should be removed or covered with bandages. Hair and Nails: Hair should be clean and neat at all times for both men and women. For men, hair is no longer than the neckline. If a man has long hair, it must be pulled back into a ponytail. Beards and mustache should be well trimmed. Hair for both men and women must be colored one color or highlighted. Purple,blue,pink, or green hair colors are not permitted. Nails should be cleaned and enamel should be consistent in color and length appropriate for performing the job functions.
