This is the customer entrance to the service department. This is our 4-lane service advisor bay with 23 desks. The Hunter alignment tool inspects every customers' car as it drives into the lane. It scans each cars license plate and gets the cars vin number.  16 lasers check the alignment and find the problem. It is then displayed on a tv screen mounted above for the customer to see and in the shop for the technicians doing the alignment to refer to. The main entrance to the shop. Our shop foreman's station. This is the parts counter. This is a separate department to help with distributing parts to the technicians and the public. This is the break room dedicated for our technicians.

  • Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

    The shop is fully climate controlled.

  • What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

    Teams are made of 4-6 technicians but can vary based on the task at hand.

  • What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

    The shop is open Monday through Saturday, closed on Sunday, and is open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Technicians typically work 10 hour shifts, 5 days a week. Alternate/Flexible Shift schedules are available on a per tech basis at the discretion of the Service Director.

  • What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

    Express technicians are provided with all of the tools necessary to do the job. All other technicians are provided with a Snap-On Toolbox, all diagnostic tools and any other essential equipment.

  • What type of break room facility is provided?

    Technicians will have access to a break room with: -Dish TV -Hot and cold water -Vending machines with a discounted price -3 microwaves -Refrigerator -Ice Maker

  • How many bays does your shop have?

    The shop is made up of 69 climate controlled bays.

  • How many repair orders do you average per month?

    As one of the largest volume dealers in NC, we average 8,000 completed repair orders per month.

  • What is your parts ordering process?

    Specialized order processing utilizing "Xtime" electronic multipoint inspection system.

  • What is your policy on side work?

    Each vehicle that comes into the shop must be associated with a repair order.

  • Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

    The shop has a dedicated cleaning crew with a walk behind and ride on floor scrubber. There are four service advisor lanes and 23 service desks to assist customers and the technicians. Each tool is serviced regularly and replaced if needed. The shop is loaded with a wide variety of state of the art tools and equipment. -Three, brand new, Hunter alignment checkers -Six, Pro Cut, on-car brake lathes -Three AMCO bench lathes -Four tire mounting machines -Three state of the art electronic wheel balancers -Clinker Tile Floor -High speed electric doors We are dedicated to making sure technicians have the rights tools and environment to succeed in!

  • Can you describe your performance review process?

    Performance drives your success. We have regular reviews with teammates structured to help you achieve your full financial potential while providing the highest level of service. Key performance indicators include comeback times, cycle times, and proficiency ratings.

  • What type of safety training is required?

    Safety training is a top priority at Scott Clark Toyota. Our recurring in-house safety training and 3rd party training includes certifying our lifts and our stringent compliance to OSHA safety protocols.

  • Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

    We offer in-house accreditation programs for new techs working with their supervisors in order to accrue master-level skills on jobs. Unlike other dealers, your potential will not be capped at Scott Clark Toyota. Certified Toyota mentors will help you win within our team.

    We support multiple local non-profit agency's and school districts with an emphasis on helping students prepare for the workforce.     We are dedicated to helping students succeed by providing an immersive internship experience within the Scott Clark Auto Group. CMS and Union County students gain access to a robust network of relationships within our dealer group. Students interested in Auto I & II are invited to participate in a semester long internship in our service department.   • Where do you see the shop in five years?

  • Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

    Our application is easy and efficient. Once submitted, you will complete a drug screen and background check. This process typically takes around 1 week to complete.

  • Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

    Yes, we phone screen our applicants.

  • What do your in-person interviews entail?

    Our in-person interviews provide you the opportunity to meet with our shop foreman and/or service director. You will get to know our team, and we will get to know you. You will have an opportunity to share your skill set, and we will be able to ask about aptitude for the position you are applying for.

  • Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

    Scott Clark Toyota requires a background check and drug screening prior to hiring. Additionally you must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record.

  • Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

    We will assess your skill set during the interview process but there is not a formal assessment.

  • After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

    The offer can be made quickly pending the required background check and drug screening.

  • Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

    The process from start to end, takes no longer than one week after the test have been completed, unless there is something that needs clarification.

    Pay Range: $21 - $26/hour

    Compensation is flat-rate and may be flexible based on experience, skills, certifications, and efficiency with weekly and monthly performance based bonuses.

  • Certified Technician
    Pay Range: $20 - $25/hour

    Compensation is flat-rate and may be flexible based on experience, skills, certifications, and efficiency with weekly and monthly performance based bonuses.

  • Maintenance Technician
    Pay Range: $18 - $23/hour

    Compensation is flat-rate and may be flexible based on experience, skills, certifications, and efficiency with weekly and monthly performance based bonuses.

  • Express Technician
    Pay Range: $16 - $17/hour

    Compensation is a flat rate, hourly guaranteed. Express technicians can make $500-$800 per week with weekly and monthly performance based bonuses.

  • Used Car Technician
    Pay Range: $19 - $22/hour

    Compensation is flat-rate and may be flexible based on experience, skills, certifications, and efficiency with weekly and monthly performance based bonuses.

  • Alignment Specialist
    Pay Range: $17 - $20/hour

    Compensation is flat-rate and may be flexible based on experience, skills, certifications, and efficiency with weekly and monthly performance based bonuses.

  • Dedicated NC State Inspector
    Pay Range: $17 - $20/hour

    Compensation is flat-rate and may be flexible based on experience, skills, certifications, and efficiency with weekly and monthly performance based bonuses.

Health Insurance Offered Offered through Blue Cross Blue Shield. We are committed to helping you and your dependents maintain your health and wellness by providing you with access to the highest levels of care. We offer you a choice of two medical plan options. Both plans utilize the same network of providers and include coverage if you choose to go out-of-network.
Dental Insurance Offered Offered through Delta Dental. You have an option of two dental plans: a PPO plan, offering you in- and out-of-network coverage, and a DHMO plan, which only offers in-network benefits.
Vision Insurance Offered Offered through Ameritas. The Ameritas Focus vision care benefits includes coverage for eye exams, standard lenses and frames, contact lenses, and discounts for laser surgery. The vision plan is built around a network of eye care providers, with better benefits at a lower cost to you when you use providers who belong to the VSP Choice network.
Retirement Plan Offered Employees are provided with a 401 (k). We contribute $.50 to your account for every $1.00 you contribute, up to 4% of your eligible pay.
Sick Leave Offered Offered through Voya Financial, Inc. You have the option to enroll in Voluntary Accident or Critical Illness plans through Voya. These plans pay a cash benefit directly to you if you have a covered accident or critical illness. You don’t have to be enrolled in the major medical plan to enroll, and these benefits are guaranteed issue, renewable and portable.
Vacation Offered Regular full time employees are eligible for paid vacation that accrues overtime.
Paid Holidays Offered 5 major holidays; technicians receive eight (8) hours of holiday pay at their flat rate in effect on the holiday.
ST / LT Disability Offered Offered through Mutual of Omaha ST- Benefits can begin on the 8th day following an accident or illness, and last for up to 12 weeks. If you are still disabled after that time, your Long-Term Disability benefits will start. LT- Benefits being following the Short-Term Disability benefits your Long-Term will begin, and will eliminate after 90 days.
Life Insurance Offered Offered through Mutual of Omaha. Basic Life and AD&D insurance which covers $10,000. Voluntary Life and AD&D Insurance (ADDITIONAL) you have the option to purchase up to $400,000 for yourself and up to $100,000 for your spouse. Lifetime term insurance - Offered through Chubb
Uniforms Offered We use grade A, never been worn, uniforms to our employees and pay 50% of the weekly cost.
