Hiring Process
  • Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

    We do have an application form and it takes about 10-15 minutes to complete

  • Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

    We don't require phone screens but prefer them before coming in for in-person interviews

  • What do your in-person interviews entail?

    In-person interviews include a meeting with service manager where we go through experiences, tools, and general questions. Can possibly meet with other technicians and the director of operations. Finally it also includes shop/ facility tour.

  • Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

    Background checks are required, no drug screens or personality tests.

  • Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

    Skills assessments are not required

  • After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

    Can be as quick as 24-48 hours and up to 3-5 business days

  • Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

    No, but we have swamp coolers for each bay to keep our technicians cool!

  • What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

    5 technicians, 2 apprentices, 1 parts specialist, 1 service advisor and service manager

  • What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

    7am-5pm Monday - Friday Lunch 12pm - 1pm Saturday 7am - 12pm, based on needs, if needed every other Saturday

  • What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

    We provide all major and speciality tools, scanner and TPMS etc. Techs are required to have own set of tools.

  • What type of break room facility is provided?

    Our break room includes a table, couches, AC, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, water cooler etc..

  • How many bays does your shop have?

    9 lifts, alignment rack and 2 other bays with no lifts

  • How many repair orders do you average per month?

    We always have a lot of work to be completed! Average 200 or so between recon, and customer vehicles

  • What is your parts ordering process?

    Parts specialist handles all the ordering. Technician goes through service advisor for customer vehicle repairs and goes through service manager if its a recon vehicle.

  • What is your policy on side work?

    Manager has to be present for anyone to be working in the shop for safety reasons. Can ask manager for approval on any work to be completed out side of normal business hours.

  • Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

    We offer trainings through vendors and we reimburse for ASE Certifications if passed.

  • Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

    We promote from within, technicians can move into roles such as manager or service advisor. Opportunity to even move into sales or other parts of business as well.

  • Can you describe your performance review process?

    We do an annual review with all employees

  • What type of safety training is required?

    Yes, online safety training is required to be completed

  • Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

    We pair up our less experienced technicians with our more experienced technicians. There is always on the job training with someone in the shop.

  • How does your shop get involved with the local community?

    Not at this time

  • Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

    We started reaching out to local technical schools, to join our apprenticeship program.

  • Where do you see the shop in five years?

    We are looking to always add more experienced technicians, we are always looking to expand especially our recon business.

  • A Level Technician
    Pay Range: $60,000 - $70,000/year

    Team based bonus opportunities based on shop performance, up to $600 per month.

  • B Level Technician
    Pay Range: $50,000 - $58,000/year

    Team based bonus opportunities based on shop performance, up to $600 per month.

  • C Level Technician
    Pay Range: $42,000 - $50,000/year

    Team based bonus opportunities based on shop performance, up to $600 per month.

  • Student Tech / Apprentice
    Pay Range: $16 - $18/hour

    Team based bonus opportunities based on shop performance, up to $600 per month.
