One shop foreman and 3 to 4 technicians
Shop hours are M-F 7:30 to 6:00 Technician hours are 8:00 to 5:00 M-F or when the last car is finished. Weekends are for family!
All specialty shop tools are provided by RM Automotive.
In the new RM Automotive(coming in 2021), there will be a heated and air conditioned break room.
We have 5 lifts and 1 flat stall. The new RM(coming in 2021) will have 10 lifts.

Most parts are ordered online through vendors that have multiple deliveries per day.
No side work in shop. We have parts policy for tech's who are doing side work.
We have a digital courtesy check process that techs need to buy into. They must see the value for the customer, the tech and the shop. We have multiple policies in place for maximum efficiency.
All employees are encouraged to become ASE certified. All ASE test fees will be reimbursed to employee after proof of passing. We offer training seminars free of charge to all employees through WorldPac Training Institute and various local vendors.
Career advancement is always available to an employee that shows a passion for the business and the industry.
All employees job performance is reviewed after 90 day probation period. After probation period, all employees job performance is reviewed quarterly.
All safety training is explained in the employee handbook.
Our shop foreman is encouraged to train younger techs to help them to become more experienced technicians.
Every Thanksgiving our employees volunteer their time to help deliver 3,000 turkey dinners to local school families in need. We have sponsored multiple school and little league teams over the years. We participate in a Holiday Season book and toy drive that provides gifts to children in need.
Mike is on the advisory board for the Pierce College Automotive Technology Department
RM Automotive is in the process of building a brand new location that we hope to open in early 2021. In 5 years we hope to be still be providing a quality repair at a price that is fair, at a location that will be bigger and better for all employees and our valued customers.

There is a verbal skills assessment that grades each candidate as a journeyman or apprentice. From there each candidate will be asked questions needed for skill level of job opening
