The shop is heated
We currently have 2 technicians, and are looking to grow that team to 4 technicians.
There are two 8-hour shifts per day, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. While we can be flexible with shift times, the day shift usually begins at 4:30am and the night shift lasts until 11:00pm. We are able to offer weekend work - both Saturdays and Sundays - based on workload and projects.
We provide specialty tools and OEM specific tools for all technicians to use. While techs are required to have their own toolbox, we provide larger tools and equipment.
There is a break room with standard amenities that is both heated and air-conditioned. Also, there is a table in the shop, in a separated room, for lunch.

Most ordering is done electronically through a software system, which makes it very easy on technicians. If not done through the electronic system, parts can be ordered manually through our Parts Warehouse.

Our shop is in a good, safe area of the community. We take pride in keeping our major tools and the facility clean and orderly.
We encourage training! Training is offered online training through the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Online and in-person training is offered at our shop with vendors, and we will send staff to OEM location training sites. Our shop reimburses for ASE certifications and will offer up to an additional $3/hour based on exam score! We offer an additional $1/hour for having your CDL license. If you do not have your CDL already, we provide a process for you to obtain this.
We always try to promote from within, when possible. Employees are a priority for us, and we seek to invest in our staff. At our shop, we have staff who have been with us for many years and have grown into more advanced roles. There are plenty of career opportunities depending on your goals!
We conduct a 2-week, 4-week, and 8-week evaluation for new employees. After the 90-day new hire probation period, there will also be an evaluation. We have a process in place for biweekly communication with all new hires. Staff have regular meetings with virtual shop supervisors who will give feedback about processes and productivity. Also, lead mechanics at the shop will provide ongoing feedback to techs to help them grow.
Safety is a priority for our company. Monthly OSHA topics are communicated to shops. A $250 annual bonus is given to a shop if they maintain one year of safe working conditions, meaning there is no lost production time due to an accident.
We have experienced technicians who have been in the industry a long time, and they understand the importance of supporting newer technicians. We strive to have our seasoned techs provide mentorship and guidance to our new hires or more entry level technicians.
We hold an annual "clean-up" day all staff are encouraged to be a part of. We are involved with several charities, including Autism Speaks and the Boys & Girls Club. We strive to provide donations to charities through fundraisers and optional employee payroll deduction opportunities.
We are working to begin co-op programs with local schools. We are also involved in a driver apprentice program with a local school, and hopefully will be involved in more projects in the future.
We plan to be more involved with electric trucks, evolving our equipment and training to keep up with the new demand in our world. Safety & sustainability are at the core of our company, so we plan to continue fostering those in all the work we do. Along with growing the skills of our technicians, we hope to invest in newer technology as well.

The in-person interview will allow us to learn more about the candidate, including their work experience, mechanical ability, communication style, and personality. It is a relaxed conversation and will also be a time for the candidate to ask questions about our shop.
We conduct a drug screening and background check within a new hire's 90 day probation period. We also conduct a physical for technicians after hire, usually within the first 1-2 days.
