This number has fluctuated thanks to COVID and the pandemic. Currently customer demand is high as we are one week out on available appointments to get into the shop. We are averaging 700 RO's per month.

Not here and not Honda. If it's your Mom or something we understand. But your side work should not interfere with Paul Moak Honda work. We do allow you to work on your own car in the shop as long as you have an open repair order on it. You get employee discounts on parts as well as vehicle purchases.

Yes! Paul Moak offers all technicians the opportunity for growth through on the job skills training as well as online continuing education from our manufacturers. As soon as you become employed we work to get you signed on with Honda and you begin taking technical training. As you reach a level of proficiency we will send you off to Honda school out of state all expenses paid.
As you begin work here and gain a strong knowledge base, you will be given the opportunity to do more and grow your income thanks to your newly acquired skills. Our Master Techs began work here at Paul Moak and grew their skills over the years to become some of the best technicians in the state of Mississippi.
You and your Service Manager will have ongoing dialogue about your performance. We do not do this review just once a year as many places do. Ours is a constant feedback loop that you will received from your manager giving you the ability to grow and succeed.
Slips and trips in the shop hurts not just you, but everyone. We cannot operate effectively in an unsafe environment. So, we work hard to maintain a clean shop environment. We have equipment inspections on a recurring basis by our vendors. Our shop foreman is charged with quality checks on vehicles and answering your questions on proper procedures.
First our younger techs must show an energy and aptitude for learning. Most do not have this drive. But as we come across a younger tech that is eager to grow his skills, we assign that guy to a mentor tech who benefits from the increased productivity of a helper while sharing his knowledge base and a few tools with his helper. As the younger tech grows, he is expected to begin acquiring tools. At some point the trainee is given a lift of his own. All these steps depend greatly on the drive of the younger tech. If you have that drive, we have a career for you.
We are HUGE supporters of the local Children's Hospital. Our owner is the Chairman of the Board at the hospital and we donate time, dollars and resources throughout the year to support these special kids and their families.

If you have the drive, you will get the tickets. Obviously we match up your training level with the work needed on the ticket. But there is no seniority system for getting a ticket. If you get to work ready to work, we'll reward you.

Health Insurance | Offered | We have full coverage health insurance for employees and your dependents. Paul Moak pays for 2/3 of the monthly insurance premium for employees. We give a year end bonus to all full time employees who get an annual physical done. 90% of our employees had theirs done this year. The state average is 25%. We see this bonus as an investment in our people. The healthier we all are, the more likely we are all to come in to work and be productive, healthy and happy. |
