The Company also provides concierge mobile service that assist fleet owners in keeping its vehicles operational with little to no non-revenue producing “vehicle down time” by scheduling maintenance and repairs of their vehicles on site.

  • Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

    We operate in 2 buildings that are situated directly across from each other. During the brief Florida winter days, we keep the shops heated with propane space heaters. During the hot and humid Florida summer days, we keep our Techs cool with large cooler fans.

  • What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

    Our business consists of 18 highly qualified professionals of which, we employ 11 Technicians.

  • What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

    Our hours of operation are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday. We are closed Saturday and Sunday. Presently, we only have 1 shift which operates during the normal business hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

  • What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

    We provide an extensive array of diagnostic computers and OEM software. Additionally, we have an assortment of jacks (can, bumper, transmission (2 types), 4 independent column lift (48,000 pounds), A/C diagnostic and recovery machines (3), fork lift, semi truck to move trailers, tow dolly and many other various tools that are needed to perform quality service and repairs for our customer base.

  • What type of break room facility is provided?

    We have a break area in our shop with a cupboard and refrigerator and freezer full of snacking food. Coffee and bottled water are also provided.

  • How many bays does your shop have?

    Our shop has a total of 8 bays

  • How many repair orders do you average per month?

    We average between 330 to 375 work orders per month

  • What is your parts ordering process?

    Once our Technicians diagnose a unit and determines what parts are needed, our Service Writer arranges for ordering.

  • What is your policy on side work?

    We do not allow our Technicians to do side work.

  • Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

    Our business environment is one that encourages creativity, growth and concern for our employees. Employees are treated like family and, as such, the employees have a special bond with each other and the owners of the business.

  • Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

    We offer a variety of skill training and continuing education opportunities which range from ASE certifications, various skill set certifications (brakes, electrical, etc) and any training or continuing eduction that will further develop our employees.

  • Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

    We are a firm believer in promoting from within We have had Technicians that have a career path of Service Writer and General Manager.

  • Can you describe your performance review process?

    Performance reviews are a written process which occur once each year in December. Additionally, new employees are given a written review after 90 days. The process is clear, concise and participatory on the employee's part

  • What type of safety training is required?

    Upon initial employment, employees are given basic safety training. However, we employ an ongoing safety program which is done both online and in bi-weekly, in person, safety meetings. The ongoing safety program is administered and tracked in order to meet and comply with all safety mandates.

  • Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

    Our younger Techs are given the opportunity to work along side our Type A Technicians in order to learn the master skill set of a particular repair or service.

  • How does your shop get involved with the local community?

    1. Attend local car shows, so we can personally talk to members of the community. 2. Hold an “Open House” at our shop to tout our shop’s services and techs’ expertise, and to promote all the value we bring to the vehicle repair process. 3. Sponsor local sports teams; it’s a highly visible way to get your name out in the community. 4. Donate to worthy causes — i.e. United Way campaigns, local charities, police and fire departments, and food banks. 5. Volunteer to speak at Career Day events, and mentor future techs by getting involved in the local vo-tech school.

  • Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

    We support the local schools with donations and Career Day events.

  • Where do you see the shop in five years?

    We plan to continually expand the geographical area that we service in order to achieve our exponential growth plans.

  • Is there anything else you’d like to mention about career development and community?

    We are in the relationship business, we're not just in the heavy duty service and repair business. We're not looking for the one big hit, and we never see the customer again. We want to create a cradle to grave relationship. When someone comes in, we want to blow them away with high lever of service and integrity.

  • Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

    We have a 2 page application form which typically takes 5 to 10 minutes to complete.

  • Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

    Our preference is to do a phone interview of all applicants before doing an in-person interview. However, like everything else, there are exceptions

  • What do your in-person interviews entail?

    Our in-person interviews consist of interviewing with our Director of Service Operations and our Service Writer. Additionally, the candidate will complete an application and will be given a tour of the shop.

  • Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

    We perform background checks and drug screening.

  • Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

    We perform a skill assessment during the interview process. Our Director of Service Operations has a series of questions that will assist us in determining the skill level of the Technician.

  • After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

    You should expect an answer within 2-3 days

  • Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

    Depending on the candidate, it can range from 1 day to 1 week.
