Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment. Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc. Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs. Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications. Qualifications 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification required B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve Enjoy working in a dynamic environment Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications Valid driver's license and clean driving record Willing to submit to pre-employment drug screen and background check We are an equal opportunity employer and prohibit discrimination/harassment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.

    Shop is heated and we have a nice breeze that moves through the shop.

  • What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

    We have 37 technicians, and 15 Service Advisors

  • What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

    We offer a 5-day work week. Our shop hours and 7am to 7pm on weekdays and 7am to 5pm on Saturday

  • What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

    North Park Toyota has an arsenal of special tools, 2 alignment machines, on car brake lathes. hunter tire equipment, and a large array of other tools available for use.

    We have two breakrooms for our staff members

    We offer skills training that includes hands on, Interactive Learning, online training, and factory training. North Park Toyota pays for all training as and ASE certification fees.

  • What type of safety training is required?

    We offer online and in person training. Lift Safety and Personal Injury Protection (PIP) are paramount to ensuring a safe work place

    We have Team Leaders who mentor our technicians

  • How does your shop get involved with the local community?

    We participate in several surrounding High School Automotive Programs. We have a great relationship with the local trade schools and colleges in the area as well. We offer on the job training for individuals who wish to start as entry level and become Certified Master Technicians.

  • Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

    We participate in several programs and reside on advisory committees for the surrounding schools.

  • Where do you see the shop in five years?

    Our customer base is growing fast and business is booming! We have plans to increase the number of bays and will be building an additional shop in the near future.

  • A Level Technician
    Pay Range: $65,000 - $115,000/year

    MASTER & MDT TECHNICIANS - All 8 ASE Certifications, required online training, plus certification in Electrical, Engine, Transmission, Drivetrain, & Chassis. Master Diagnostic Technicians (MDT)would also have completed the ASE L1 and all hybrid training. Both Master and MDT's require a minimum 5 years Toyota Tenure.

  • B Level Technician
    Pay Range: $46,000 - $60,000/year

    EXPERT TECHNICIANS - Level I Expert - Minimum of 6 ASE's and Expert Certified in at least 3 areas Level II Expert - Minimum of 8 ASE's and Expert Certified in at least 4 areas

  • C Level Technician
    Pay Range: $36,500 - $45,500/year

    This area is broken down into two categories: C Level technicians also know as certified line technicians have a minimum of two ASE's and certified in two categories. Advanced Maintenance Technicians are individuals who have graduated from Toyota Express Maintenance and are ready for the next step in their Journey to becoming a Toyota Certified technician. Also know as Level II technicians. this position requires general automotive knowledge, the ability to perform all maintenance and light repairs, and all online learning modules must be complete.

  • Lube Technician
    Pay Range: $25,000 - $36,000/year

    Toyota Express Maintenance (TXM) is where your journey to becoming a Toyota Technician begins. Candidates for this position would have a general working knowledge of automobile repair and light maintenance. As a TXM Technician you would be performing simple maintenance such as Oil Changes, Tire Rotations, Air Filters, Cabin Filters, Wiper Blades, and Tire Repairs.
