About Us

We are a locally owned company that is part of a National Organization. The foundation of the owners’ automotive experience began as an entry level technician with a drive to succeed back in 1988. His career path consists of working as an entry level tech, then a general service tech, assistant manager and manager. The drive to succeed carried through to ownership in 2005 when the first two Meineke locations were acquired. The success of the first two locations grew to today’s 5 locations with a desire to offer our current employee’s an opportunity to grow within our company. Today, we continue to operate with hands-on ownership with the same focus as 2005, and take great pride in being able to allow an employee to take charge of their career path within our company.

Hiring Process
  • Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

    Applicant can go to any of our locations and fill out an application, the application can take from 5 to 20 minutes.

  • Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

    Phone interviews are conducted much like the in person interview. This provides an opportunity for both the candidate and Meineke Car Care to interact and get to know if the skills an applicant has are in alignment with the needs of the company. Phone interviews are not required, however they can be a great stepping stone for both parties.

  • What do your in-person interviews entail?

    We are looking for candidates that are detail oriented and customer service oriented. Our in person interviews allow the candidate to get a sneak peak of the management team as well as co-workers. We all want a win-win relationship for both the employee and the company.

  • Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

    Valid driver license and clean driving record are required and are a condition of employment

  • Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

    During the interview we need to know the skill level of each applicant

  • After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

    We usually respond within two days.

  • Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

    One week

  • Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

    Our shops are well-ventilated and well-lit.

  • What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

    Our team consists of a location manager, and service writer/Shop Foreman

  • What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

    Shop Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30 am to 6:00 pm and Saturdays 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. We schedule our technicians on a rotation to accomodate a work-life balance

  • What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

    We utilize leading industry database OEM and repair information resources. Our technicians often identify and fix automotive problems with computers, they commonly work with greasy parts and tools, sometimes in uncomfortable positions.

  • What type of break room facility is provided?

    Separate break room with refrigerator, microwave and lunch table

  • How many bays does your shop have?

    8 bays

  • How many repair orders do you average per month?

    Approx 25 cars per a day

  • What is your parts ordering process?

    Common items are stock, we have alliances with local vendors with an electronic ordering process or call direct.

  • What is your policy on side work?

    Employees are allowed shop privileges

  • Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

    Growth oriented environment, we onboard employees with little experience and a strong desire to grow in the automotive industry. Promotion within the company is encouraged.

  • Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

    Yes, we offer on the job training as well as on line training. Our services are process oriented.

  • Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

    We are locally owned and operated with the support of a nationwide franchise. This means we have depth to our resources, but a local decision. This gives our customers a nationwide warranty on all parts and labor. This also provides hands on, on line and in person remote training opportunities. Meinke also offers grants and scholarships for training.

  • Can you describe your performance review process?

    Performance reviews are done annually with credit for experience, tools and flat rate abilities. Certifications a plus and longevity increases pay. We pride our selves on educating our customers to make knowledgeable decision about the automotive repairs.

  • What type of safety training is required?

    We have in house safety training developed in alliance with OSHA.

  • Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

    Our more experienced techs are always there to assist the younger techs.

  • How does your shop get involved with the local community?

    This is an area we would like to be more involved in and we always encourage our employees to support the local community.

  • Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

    Currently, we are not involved with the local schools.

  • Where do you see the shop in five years?

    As we have recently expanded to a 4th location, we plan to continue to build out our brand and reputation in the Madison area.

  • Is there anything else you’d like to mention about career development and community?

    Our community and customers are who make us a business. We are beyond thankful for them as well as our employees. We want what is best for our employees and will support them throughout their career.

    - Pay Range: $50,000 - $70,000/year

    We provide a safety net of hourly pay for all hours worked.

  • B Level Technician
    - Pay Range: $37,480 - $55,800/year

    We provide a safety net of hourly pay for all hours worked.

  • C Level Technician
    - Pay Range: $0 - $0/year

  • Lube Technician
    - Pay Range: $24,960 - $41,600/year

    We provide a safety net of hourly pay for all hours worked.

Health Insurance Offered We are proud to offer you a medical plan that provides comprehensive medical and prescription drug coverage. The plan also offers many resources and tools to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle. Following is a brief description of each plan. Quartz HMO With this plan, you select a primary care physician (PCP) from the participating network of providers who will coordinate your health care needs, refer you to specialists (if needed) and approve further medical treatment. Services received outside of the HMO’s network are not covered, except in the case of emergency medical care.
Dental Insurance Offered Delta Dental of WI DHMO: With this plan, you choose a primary dental provider to manage your care. There are no charges for most preventive services, no claim forms and no deductibles. Reduced, pre-set charges apply to other services.
Vision Insurance Offered We are proud to offer you a vision plan. The Delta Vision vision plan gives you the freedom to seek care from the provider of your choice. However, you will maximize your benefits and reduce your out-of-pocket costs if you choose a provider who participates in the Delta Vision network

Life Insurance Offered Life insurance provides your named beneficiary(ies) with a benefit in the event of your death. Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance provides specified benefits to you in the event of a covered accidental bodily injury that directly causes dismemberment (i.e., the loss of a hand, foot or eye). In the event that your death occurs due to a covered accident, both the life and the AD&D benefit would be payable. Basic Life/AD&D (Company-paid) This benefit is provided at NO COST to you
