  • Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

    This is an outside shop

  • What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

    18 main shop technicians

  • What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

    8:00am-5:00pm, and 9:00am-6:00pm

  • What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

    Tools will be provided for special campaigns, scan tools, brake lathe, tech streams, special service tools. Basic tools will be the technician responsibility unless you are an hourly technician.

  • What type of break room facility is provided?

    Lunch room. Typical fridge, microwave, table, chairs, coffee maker

  • How many bays does your shop have?

    41

  • How many repair orders do you average per month?

    2300-2500 Customer pay ro's.

  • What is your parts ordering process?

    If parts are ordered before 5pm, they are usually delivered next day.

  • What is your policy on side work?

    Service Manager has to authorize repair order and has to be your car or family car only.

  • Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

    Yes, each technician is assigned a SPIN number and that will allow them to log onto the University of Toyota site to get all online modules. Once completed, they can become certified with Toyota.

  • Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

    We love to promote within. We have porters that are now service advisors, main shop technicians and sales associates. If you have the drive to learn and grow, we will give you the skills to do it.

  • Can you describe your performance review process?

    Performance reviews are done when needed.

  • What type of safety training is required?

    Yes, when hired you will receive information on safety training and yearly safety training is provided by Celly Services once a year.

  • Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

    We have a dedicated shop foreman who work along new hires and apprentice technicians. He provides them the right tools and skills to be able to move up into the main shop. You also have team leaders to provide you guidance when needed.

  • How does your shop get involved with the local community?

    We work with our local colleges for apprenticeships.

  • Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

    We work with local colleges and promote our program with the shop foreman.

  • Where do you see the shop in five years?

    Lots of growth. We have a great team of advisors and technicians who understand the vision of the store.

  • Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

    Application has to be filled out in person and takes 20-30 minutes to complete

  • Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

    We do a light screen to make sure that the candidate fits what we are looking for. Discussions can include their background, certifications, career goals.

  • What do your in-person interviews entail?

    Service manager would ask about experience, work history and career path. Getting to the know a candidate as an individual to make sure they will be a fit with our team.

  • Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

    Yes, background check and drug screening.

  • Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

    No.

  • After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

    Within 48 hours.

  • Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

    2-3 days

  • Lube Technician
    Pay Range: $17 - $18/year

    Tools provided. Hourly paid position.

  • Student Tech / Apprentice
    Pay Range: $15 - $16/hour

    Student apprentice must be currently enrolled. Will work directly with Shop Foreman to get proper training. Will receive the necessary training to become a flat rate technician if all requirements are met. Hourly paid position.

  • Expert Technician
    Pay Range: $32 - $33/hour

    Pay Range: $34 - $36/hour
