Lyft has two official performance review cycles per year, one of which includes a compensation review for every employee in the company. Lyft is a pay-for-performance company and strong performance reviews can be reflected in compensation increases. Technicians meet with their manager at least bi-weekly to review their performance and work together on long and short term goals.
Daily safety training is part of our normal operating processes at our shops. Safety protocols are displayed prominently around the shop — safety is our top priority. Within our standard processes, we have a safety standards that evaluate how safely our technicians perform their work, and the safety of the vehicle once repairs are completed.
There are no limitations to how much time a technician can spend learning — our entry and mid level technicians usually spend 10+ hours a month doing hands-on mentorship with senior technicians, including time walking through uses of specified tools like diag scanners. Our Technical Trainer meets with our teams regularly to determine what new trainings are needed.
