Hiring Process
  • Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

    The shop has radiant heat and swamp coolers

  • What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

    We are a mid-sized shop with 6 Ford Master techs and 2 Express techs

  • What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

    Monday-Friday - 7:00 am - 6 pm Saturday - 8:00 am - 5 pm We run 3 technician shifts; 7:00-4:00, 8:00-5:00 & 9:00-6:00 Techs rotate Saturdays (currently working every third)

  • What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

    We have fluid flush machines, on car brake lath, Ford specialty tools and new EV tools. And a variety of other tools to ensure the job gets done.

  • What type of break room facility is provided?

    Large breakroom located away from the shop to give you some space away. There is a fridge, microwave and vending machines.

  • How many bays does your shop have?

    25 bays

  • How many repair orders do you average per month?

    Average 1300

  • What is your parts ordering process?

    We use Ford Smart where they are processed and then alert you to the availabilty

  • What is your policy on side work?

    You are able to work after hours with a member of management present and all work is ran through the shop on an RO

  • Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

    Our dealership is in a very unique position because we have two sister stores next to us that we have a friendly competition with. We are located between 2 major colleges which allows us to stay busy throughout the winter months as well.

  • Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

    We do offer continuing education as well as internal education courses to prepare you if you want a management position within the group. You can also be enrolled in Ford factory training to help you become a Ford Master tech or to maintain your current certifications.

  • Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

    We have 60+ dealerships throughout the west so there is always opportunities to grow and learn within the group.

  • Can you describe your performance review process?

    Once a month the Service Manager will meet with the group and go over goals and month vs. month. We also discuss things you need from him and or the team to achieve goals.

  • What type of safety training is required?

    There is an internal system for safety training and we use KPA for some other trainings.

  • Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

    We will pair an apprentice with the proper Master tech they will work closely together over several months. We hold weekly meetings on progress and improvement then when the time is right we place the apprentice on the line.

  • How does your shop get involved with the local community?

    We have a group wide day of service in which we go out and assist in all sorts of community projects and as a store we look for opportunities to service our community through volunteering and donations.

  • Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

    There is a great relationship with both local tech schools as well as high schools and we are continually recruiting students who are interested in the automotive industry. There are also corporate recruiters who visit these schools to encourage and promote the group.

  • Where do you see the shop in five years?

    The shop is still growing and we look to have the chance to grow our daily business. We strive every day to be the best place in town to work and the best place in town to do business.

  • Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

    Our application form is online and typically takes between 10-15 minutes to fill out.

  • Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

    No, unless the applicant is out of state.

  • What do your in-person interviews entail?

    Just getting to know you better and what you're looking for as well as letting you know about our store culture and company. We will go over our benefits and what is offered, then a shop tour & Q&A.

    We do background checks and drug screening

    We offer a very casual environment where you are able to really get a good feel for our shop and culture without any pressure.

    Pay Range: $60,000 - $100,000/year

    Sign on bonus, production bonus and CSI bonus

  • B Level Technician
    Pay Range: $40,000 - $60,000/year

    Pay Range: $20,000 - $40,000/year
