Hiring Process
  • Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

    We have an application that takes about 15 minutes to complete.

  • Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

    We prefer in-person interviews whenever possible.

  • What do your in-person interviews entail?

    It will entail a meeting with staff including the store Service Manager. The casual conversation will last about 30-45 minutes and be a time to get to know the candidate's work background, experience level, and personality.

  • Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

    We conduct a driver's license check and that the candidate is insurable.

  • Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

    A verbal skill assessment is done during the interview process.

  • After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

    About 1 day

  • Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

    About 1 day

  • Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

    Our current shop is heated, and our new facility will also be air-conditioned.

  • What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

    The team includes 10 technicians, 3 express lube technicians, 3 Service Advisors, 1 Service Manager, and 1 regional Service Manager.

  • What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

    Monday-Saturday, 7:00am - 4:30pm, with a 30 minute lunch

  • What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

    All technicians are given a laptop to use. We have state-of-the-art updated required equipment available as well.

  • What type of break room facility is provided?

    We have a standard break room with table, chairs, microwave, and a refrigerator. Our new facility will have a dedicated technician lounge!

  • How many bays does your shop have?

    21 bays

  • How many repair orders do you average per month?

    About 990

  • What is your parts ordering process?

    We have 2 dedicated Parts staff and a parts runner.

  • What is your policy on side work?

    May not be done in the dealership or on customer vehicles.

  • Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

    We have a brand new facility coming in 2022! Also, mobile maintenance will be available starting October 1, 2021.

  • Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

    Training is a HUGE priority for us! We encourage technicians to continue their training to ensure meeting the shop's and manufacturer's requirements. Online training is encouraged, along with in-person training as available.

  • Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

    With our 26 dealerships, there are always openings and possibility for advancement. We like to promote from within, and if there is not an opening in the staff's specific store, there may be within other stores in the region.

  • Can you describe your performance review process?

    New hires receive a 90 days review. Annual reviews are conducted as well.

  • What type of safety training is required?

    On-site safety seminars are conducted a few times per year, and additional safety training will be provided as needed.

  • Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

    We have a mentoring program in place to help apprentices and younger technicians grow to the next level.

  • How does your shop get involved with the local community?

We are involved in fundraisers, fairs, festivals, golf events, and heritage events in our local community.

  • Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

    We enjoy partnering with local schools and have hired students to work with us as part of our apprentice program.

  • Where do you see the shop in five years?

    We are building a brand-new dealership! By the end of 2022, our new facility is expected to open. This will be a state-of-the-art, air conditioned shop, with great amenities.

  • Is there anything else you’d like to mention about career development and community?

  • A Level Technician
    Pay Range: $50,000 - $150,000/year

    Sign On Bonus available based on experience! Compensation is flat-rate and based on experience, efficiency, and skills. We have a need for ASE certified journeymen, diesel technicians, and transmission technicians.

  • B Level Technician
    Pay Range: $55,000 - $80,000/year

    Sign On Bonus available based on experience! Compensation is flat-rate and based on experience, efficiency, and skills. We are looking for ASE certified B Level technicians.

  • C Level Technician
    Pay Range: $43,000 - $52,000/year

    Compensation is flat-rate and based on experience, efficiency, and skills. We are looking for C Level technicians with 1 year of automotive experience.

  • Lube Technician
    Pay Range: $30,000 - $43,000/year

    Compensation is hourly. We are looking for lube technicians with 1 year of automotive experience.

  • Service Advisor
    Pay Range: $70,000 - $110,000/year

    We are looking for experienced Service Advisors who thrive in a fast-paced environment. There are amazing pay opportunities for motivated individuals. Compensation is salary + commission structure, with CSI bonus
