Hiring Process
  • Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

    It only takes a few minutes to fill out an online application from our website.

  • Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

    Often times yes.

  • What do your in-person interviews entail?

    The Shop foreman and Service Director set down with the candidate to discuss work history, future plans and tour the facility.

  • Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

    We do perform background checks and drug test.

  • Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

    We do not

  • After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

    Normally within 24 hours

  • Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

    Within a week

  • Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

    The shop is climate controlled

  • What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

    We currently have 40 technicians from express maintenance to Master Tech

  • What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

    We are open from 7-7 Mon-Fri and 7-5:30 Sat. Normal shift is 7:30-5:30, rotating Saturday schedule with a day off during the week when you work Saturday.

  • What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

    Tools are provided for the express maintenance teams. Technicians provide their basic tools, and the dealer provides all specialty tools and scan tools

  • What type of break room facility is provided?

    Large break/lunch room with a full size fridge and microwaves. We also have a Cafe available for drinks and snacks.

  • How many bays does your shop have?

    39 total bays, we are in process of adding another 25 bay shop.

  • How many repair orders do you average per month?

    We write on average 3700 customer pay RO's per Month and 4100 total (incl. internal and warranty)

  • What is your parts ordering process?

    We have a 93% fill rate on parts with $1M in inventory. Parts not in inventory usually arrive the next day Via GST Parts Distribution.

  • What is your policy on side work?

    All work in the shop must have an open repair order and be approved by the shop Foreman.

  • Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

    We offer internships for students going through the TTEN program. We also have ongoing on line and in-class provided by GST.

  • Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

    The Majority of management and team leaders have come up from entry level positions within the dealership.

  • Can you describe your performance review process?

    Great opportunities for motivated hard working individuals

  • What type of safety training is required?

    On going safety training through Comply Net

  • Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

    Entry level and students on internship work directly with a factory trained Master Tech.

  • How does your shop get involved with the local community?

    Our dealership is very generous, working closely with united way, local schools, and various charities.

  • Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

    The service director and shop foreman are active board members with area vo-techs and OSU-IT

  • Where do you see the shop in five years?

    Car sales are at an all time high which is great for our units in operation. We currently maintain around 80% of our 7 year UIO. We are growing fast and building to accommodate.

    Pay Range: $60,000 - $120,000/year

    We are a flat-rate dealership, paid twice a month, also offer production bonuses

  • B Level Technician
    Pay Range: $30,000 - $55,000/year

    We are a flat-rate dealership, paid twice a month, also offer production bonuses

  • Lube Technician
    Pay Range: $24,000 - $40,000/year

    Paid hourly twice a month, also offer production bonuses

  • Service Advisor
    Pay Range: $30,000 - $120,000/year

    Pay Range: $70,000 - $100,000/year

    Paid twice a month
