  • Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

    Shop is heated.

  • What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

    23 technicians 7 service advisors 2 managers and a director 2 parts manager, 1 assistant parts manager 5 counter employee's

  • What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

    7:00-3:30 (Monday-Friday) 8:30-7:00 (Monday-Thursday), 4 ten hour shifts 7:00-3:30 (Tuesday-Saturday)

  • What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

    All major equipment including diagnostic/scan tools, A/C equipment, racks, hoists

  • What type of break room facility is provided?

    Yes, fridge, microwave, table, chairs, tv, vending machine, water cooler, coffee maker

  • How many bays does your shop have?

    35, looking to expand

  • How many repair orders do you average per month?

    2,000-3,000

  • What is your parts ordering process?

    We have digital communication between technicians and our parts department. If the repair is warranty work the techs will order what they need. If the repairs is a customer pay job techs put in the request and a service advisor will receive the order and sells the work. Service advisor will then order the parts needed, which we normally have on hand in one of our three parts warehouses.

  • What is your policy on side work?

    No side work

  • Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

    We run a very close, family friendly atmosphere. With us our employee's are not just a number but a person. Everyone one lends a hand and our shop is the picture of stability.

  • Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

    Education and skills training is always on going. Our technicians participate in Ford trainings that pop up throughout the year. The Union also provides trainings that will be mandatory for technicians. We are also working with Ford to create a fast track program. When completed technicians will have up to five certification in two months.

  • Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

    Opportunities are endless. We are willing to train all technicians from the ground level all the way up to master technicians. We will help setup a career path and goals for our technicians to achieve what their looking for in their career's.

  • Can you describe your performance review process?

    For apprentice technicians there are formal reviews every six months. We discuss skills and abilities, what they've learned from their journeyman, where they are in their training program, and in their last year of the apprenticeship program how their production is coming along.

  • What type of safety training is required?

    Online safety training throughout the year

  • Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

    Technicians are teamed up with a journeyman. The journeyman will work with them through repairs and answer any questions the technician may have, as well as, help build their skill set.

  • How does your shop get involved with the local community?

    Our sales team gets involved with the local community. Service not as much.

  • Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

    We team up with Morten college through their Ford program. We are always willing to help with apprentice techs and give them a place to grow their skills.

  • Where do you see the shop in five years?

    Growth is always the goal. Also, developing our younger technicians into master techs to help setup a successful future.

  • Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

    Candidate can apply through our website and it takes about 10 minutes.

  • Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

    HR department will do a light phone screen to guage interest in the position and when the candidate would be available. From there the candidate then goes to the shop manager.

  • What do your in-person interviews entail?

    Service Director handles the in-person interview. Discussion includes fact checking from candidates resume and application. What kind of work the candidate is comfortable doing. There is also talk about the candidates personality to make sure they will be a fit in the shop.

  • Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

  • Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

    There is no formal skills assessment. Most of that information is talked about through the interview process. We do have a 60 day probationary period.
