Fleet Master is a state of the art Cardlock fueling system opened to local businesses giving them an alternative fuel source. As a member of CFN (Commercial Fueling Network) our customers now have access to over 53,000 fueling locations nationwide & Canada. In addition to many fueling locations, we offer fuel management reports, easy access, 24/7 fueling. Total fuel controls such as fuel type, # of gallons per day / per swipe, time of day access control, & gallon limits. Our fuel access info. & reports are second to none; offering real-time fueling info, emergency alerts, real-time access and shut-offs, fuel management reports & IFTA reports, & budgeting info. “Fueling Accountability with Video Recorded fueling archives” We do not charge for fuel cards or have ant contracts & offer volume discounts. Fleet Master offers a complete Fleet Management Program, with vehicle maintenance, On-site maintenance service, and when all else fails we offer road service. Our vehicle maintenance program provides a PM maintenance service, inspections, and checklist to keep your vehicles on the road. If you can’t come to us; we can come to you and work at your facility. We offer 24/7 road service for all of our fleet customers. We provide fleet maintenance reports for budgeting and vehicle replacement decisions.

  • Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

    Yes, it is 4 pages long and takes about 5-10 minutes to complete.

  • Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

    Not necessarily

  • What do your in-person interviews entail?

    We set up an appointment time to meet, we will discuss your experience & capabilities, then you will get to meet both the service manager & service adviser; If we believe you are a good fit we will show you our facility and make you an offer that day and expect an answer within 24 hours.

  • Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

    We check all references, and may call a past employer for a recomendation.

  • Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

    No.

  • After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

    within 24 hours

  • Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

    Once we receive the application, we set up an interview within a week, we let the candidate know within 24 hours, sometimes on the spot decisions are made.

  • Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

    Our shop is heated with waste oil, our new addition is heated with gas radiant heat.

  • What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

    We have a total of 6 Technicians

  • What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

    Our shop hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am- 4:30 pm 10:00 break, half hour lunch, 2:30 break

  • What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

    Lifts, Jacks, Staging, transmission jacks, tire dolly, bumper jacks, creepers, lube set up, impact wrench, etc..

  • What type of break room facility is provided?

    We have a locker room with lunch table and fridge, picnic table with umbrella for outside seating.

  • How many bays does your shop have?

    12 Bays

  • How many repair orders do you average per month?

    250-400 Repair Orders per month

  • What is your parts ordering process?

    We use a Parts request order for the techs, and a PO system to track parts.

  • What is your policy on side work?

    We do not allow moonlighting, however our techs can work on their own vehicle or immediate family's vehicle with permission.

  • Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

    Work Environment: We provide 7500 square ft , properly ventilated facility, with heat, and ceiling fans for cooling. We have all updated Diagnostic equipment, tools, lifts, etc. We provide n easy to use lube system, and a clean parts area. Each Tech is provided their own wall space for their tool box, and their own bay, however there are times they may need to work in other areas.

  • Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

    When the parts vendors offer classes, anyone who is interested in taking the class, we will register and pay for the class.

  • Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

    We allow for learning and growth of our technicians and offer monetary & advancement compensations.

  • Can you describe your performance review process?

    Our performance reviews are one per year, with a detailed review from the previous year and compensation.

  • What type of safety training is required?

    Our service manager goes over all of our safety precautions and makes sure these rules are being followed.

  • Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

    We allow engagement of our younger techs to work with our more experienced techs for learning purposes and advancement opportunities.

  • How does your shop get involved with the local community?

    We have an annual customer appreciation day which we cookout for all of our customers and neighbors so that they can see what we offer here.

  • Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

    We stay in contact with our local N.E. Tech school as technicians graduate so we can see if they are a good fit to hire.

  • Where do you see the shop in five years?

    In five years we see our shop growing from 6 techs to 10 technicians, having all of the current diagnostic equipment, and tools needed to perform the job duties. We also offer our customers a state of the art reporting and tracking system for their fleet.

  • Is there anything else you’d like to mention about career development and community?

    Carrier Development: Fleet Master Inc. offers it’s technicians the opportunity to take industry classes when available, we assist with getting tech’s certified with inspectors licenses, & repair certifications. We will compensate for welding experience, & a CDL.

  • A Level Technician
    Pay Range: $54,000 - $66,000/year

    $26.00-$32.00 / Hour Depending on capabilities. Added compensation for CDL & Welding certificates. Overtime available but not mandatory

  • B Level Technician
    Pay Range: $41,000 - $52,000/year

    $20-$25 / Hour depending on capabilities. Added compensation for CDL & welding certificates. Overtime available but not mandatory

  • C Level Technician
    Pay Range: $31,000 - $39,000/year

    $15.00-$1900 / Hour depending on capabilities. Added compensation for CDL & welding certificates. Overtime available but not mandatory.

  • Lube Technician
    Pay Range: $31,000 - $32,000/year

    $15.00- $15.50 / Hour

  • Service Advisor
    Pay Range: $31,000 - $41,000/year

    $15.00-$20.00 / Hour depending on capabilities

  • Service Manager
    Pay Range: $52,000 - $62,000/year

    $25.00 - $30.00 / Hour depending on experience

  • Student Tech / Apprentice
    Pay Range: $15 - $16/hour

    Apprentice Pay
