    This is a two tech location

    The shift is 6:00pm till 2:30am Monday to Friday

  • What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

    3/4" and up

    A small break room vending machine

  • How many bays does your shop have?

    Two bay both have hoists

  • How many repair orders do you average per month?

    Around 1200

    You will be placing stock orders info comes from your Repair orders t

  • What is your policy on side work?

    No moonlighting

  • Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

    Technicians daily work task is driven by the employee him/her self. Techs have autonomy in ordering parts, scheduling their daily work task, communicating with outside vendors, estimating repairs, scheduling monthly preventative maintenance and performing and validating environmental requirements.

  • Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

    FedEx has training relationships with Mercedes Benz, Isuzu, Freightliner and Cummins, just to name a few. FedEx provides Tuition Assistance to employees that are interesting to further their degree.

  • Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

    FedEx has an employee portal where employees can view and bid on positions (providing they meet the posting requirements) within FedEx anywhere in the US. FedEx is an equal opportunity employer. We offer position in logistic, management, engineering, HR, etc.

    You are reviewed within the first six months, then annually thereafter.

  • What type of safety training is required?

    Vehicle Maintenance and its employees are constantly reminded of safety. With online safety training required annually, FedEx management AND its employees are the driving force behind a safe daily work environment.

    Sr. Global Technicians are eager to welcome younger Technicians entering into the Vehicle Maintenance field. FedEx does have FLC ( FedEx Learning Center ) in which all of FedEx proprietary learning is maintained.

  • How does your shop get involved with the local community?

    FedEx is involved with the United Way and several other charitable fund drives, annually.

  • Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

    Currently we are not involved with any local high schools or vocational schools.

  • Where do you see the shop in five years?

    FedEx continues to stay abreast of the most currently vehicle technology. With the advent of a new vehicle repair order system coming onboard September 2021; FedEx VMX department is determined to move forward making vehicle repairs an exciting career field.

  • Is there anything else you’d like to mention about career development and community?

    With the recent pandemic concerns, FedEx has managed extremely well to keep its employees and Customers safe, while practicing social distancing. FedEx pride is infectious.

    Pay Range: $58,281 - $76,710/year

  • B Level Technician
    Pay Range: $50,564 - $55,577/year
