  • Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

    Shop is well ventilated with a 20 foot overhead industrial fan and CoolSpace water cooled fan.

  • What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

    Our team consists of: Two Owners General Manager/Service Manager Assistant Service Manager including Shop Maintenance Three Technicians. Currently seeking to full third position.

  • What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

    Shop hours are Monday-Friday 8:00a.m.-5:30p.m. Close promptly at 5 30 pm and NO WEEKENDS. Everyone needs time off and we place great value on this.

  • What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

    Shop provides all necessary scanning equipment. And all manufacturers specialty tools for major repairs.

  • What type of break room facility is provided?

    Comfortable air conditioned break room with refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster oven, panini press, and snow-cone machine. Comfortable table and chairs. Provide a Water Machine and keep the refrigerator stocked with variety of Sofa.

  • How many bays does your shop have?

    We have 5 two post service bays and one Hunter Alignment drive on lift.

  • How many repair orders do you average per month?

    Average between 110-130 repair orders per month. The Average Repair is higher than the industry average for independent shops.

  • What is your parts ordering process?

    All fast moving parts are kept in stock. All other parts are ordered by General Manager and Assistant Service Manager from local parts suppliers and dealers. Due to shops central location, we receive between 8-10 parts deliveries per day.

  • What is your policy on side work?

    Technicians are not authorized to perform side work.

  • Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

    The shop is kept very clean and organized.

  • Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

    As a team continually sharing and learning. We send to formal classes as available. The Company pays the cost of the class, transportation, lodging and a meal allowance.

  • Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

    You are learning and developing skills in all lines we service. This makes you a more rounded technician in the field. We are offering you a stable environment for the long term with different opportunities as the company evolves.

  • Can you describe your performance review process?

    There is a 90 day review. There are not any set review dates. Our goal is to increase profits allowing the company to benefit everyone in compensation and benefits.

  • What type of safety training is required?

    We are in compliance with OSHA. Safety Manual, Eye Wash Station, Fire extinguishers eyeglasses and large first aid kit. We provide training on the use of all equipment. A monthly luncheon is paid for by the company to review safety and open discussion on any other matters.

  • Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

    As a small team the technicians work together in sharing and learning.

  • How does your shop get involved with the local community?

    Over the years, we have done fundraisers to help those in need, The last two years we have donated to Lake County Women’s Advocacy which helps abused children. One of the owners is very involved in this charity and donates a lot of time

  • Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

    We do not as of this time but are looking to get involved in the near future.

  • Where do you see the shop in five years?

    Our objective is to maintain the business as it is very finely tuned. Continue to change as the industry itself changes.

  • Is there anything else you’d like to mention about career development and community?

    A

  • Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

    We have a simple one page application which takes about five minutes and is completed at interview.

  • Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

    Yes very briefly. Must have a clean driving record to be employed.

  • What do your in-person interviews entail?

    An overview of our company, tour of shop and responsibilities of a technician. A very open discussion to determine if both are the right fit. If so review compensation, benefits and more.

  • Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

    No background checks or personality tests.

  • Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

    No.

  • After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

    At the end of the interview, if both feel a good fit will proceed with an offer. The offer is based upon immediately having a drug test (Paperwork is provided) and provide copy of drivers license for DMV check.

  • Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

    Few days including drug test and DMV check.

  • Is there anything else you’d like to mention about your hiring process?

    We will bring you on as soon as you are available. You receive the Employee Handbook and all required paperwork for tax withholding and enrolling for benefits.

  • A Level Technician
    Pay Range: $60,000 - $85,000/year

    $60,000 to $85,000 is a range only. Can elect a Salary or Flat Rate per hour. Both are based upon experience in lines we service - Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Mini and Porsche. We are a small team that work together for the benefit of all. Bonuses are paid in the same amount to everyone based upon the company’s profitability; there is not set date or amount.

Health Insurance Offered DETAILS ON ALL BENEFITS ARE PROVIDED IN EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK. Health Insurance is effective the first day of employment under a Florida Blue plan. The company pays 70% of the Employee Only premium which is deducted from weekly check. This coverage is available to dependents.
Dental Insurance Offered Dental Insurance is effective first day of employment. 100% is paid by Company for employee only. This coverage is available for dependents.
Vision Insurance Offered Vision Insurance is effective first day of employment and 100% is paid by Company for Employee only. This coverage is available for dependents.
Retirement Plan Not Offered
Sick Leave Offered See Vacation.
Vacation Offered PERSONAL TIME OFF INCLUDES BOTH SICK AND VACATION DAYS. 10 days per calendar year (12 days after two years) is immediately available. Any days taken before termination beyond what qualified for will be deducted from final paycheck. Any unused days will be paid on last paycheck in December.
Paid Holidays Offered Paid Holidays are the following days; New Years, Memorial, July 4th, Labor, Christmas. Thanksgiving is both the day of and day after. Everyone enjoys a Four Day Weekend. If holiday is on a Saturday, holiday is Friday- on a Sunday holiday is Monday. We try to close early on the day before a Holiday.
ST / LT Disability Offered Both Short and Long Term are effective on first day of employment. 100% is paid by the company for employee only. This benefit is not available to dependents.
Life Insurance Offered $50,000 Group Term Life Insurance is on first day of employment and paid 100% by Company. This benefit is not available to dependents.
Uniforms Offered Uniforms are provided by the company. Employee can elect long pants and/or shorts.
Other Offered Up to $100,000 for all technicians (not per technician) of personal property is covered under the Company Liability Policy A Birthday Celebration for each employee with their choice of Cake. Christmas luncheon for employees.
