Hiring Process
  • Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

    Yes, our application process takes usually around 5 minutes to complete.

  • Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

    Yes, we start our hiring process with a phone screen.

  • What do your in-person interviews entail?

    Applicants will meet with GM, and Service Manager.

  • Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

    We require all applicants to complete background checks and drug screens.

  • Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

    No

  • After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

    Typically it can take up to 2 days.

  • Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

    Anywhere from 4 days to week depending on scheduling

  • Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

    Main service lane is heated, no A/C

  • What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

    18 flat rate technicians 4 express technicians

  • What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

    Monday - Friday 7am-6pm (Flexible schedules based on experience) - 7am - 4pm or 9:30am - 6pm Saturdays - 7am - 3pm Rotation on Saturdays

  • What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

    Technicians are required to purchase own tools but we provide all scan tools, testers and other heavy tools. Express technicians are provided with starter set of tools

  • What type of break room facility is provided?

    1 break room facility for the whole dealership includes a fridge, tables, microwave, snack machines etc. We also have a locker room facility.

  • How many bays does your shop have?

    26 bays

  • How many repair orders do you average per month?

    1800 per month

  • What is your parts ordering process?

    Technician will go to the parts department with what they need for the job, parts department then will call and order parts.

  • What is your policy on side work?

    Side work is not allowed

  • Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

    Yes, we send our technicians to Honda trainings, and provide State Inspection and Emissions licenses to all technicians.

  • Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

    Technicians with less experience start as express technicians or apprentices and can move into more skilled technicians roles up to shop foreman. Technicians also have the opportunity to move into service advisor/ parts positions. We prefer to promote from within when possible.

  • Can you describe your performance review process?

    Meetings are completed every month to make sure technicians are on track to meet their quarterly raise.

  • What type of safety training is required?

    We provide a handbook that details requirements.

  • Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

    Our Shop Foreman and other more experienced technicians mentors our younger less skilled technicians. We provide plenty of support to our technicians.

  • How does your shop get involved with the local community?

    As a dealership we are involved with local sports teams, police departments, food banks, local high schools, and churches with donations and take part in local festivals and fairs.

  • Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

    We donate money to local schools and sports teams, we are also on advisory committees at local technical school. We also began a tuition reimbursement program, career fairs, and presentations with local schools as well.

  • Where do you see the shop in five years?

    We have room for continuing growth at all levels of our business, and looking to add technicians to all of our teams. We also see steady growth for overall business going forward.

  • A Level Technician
    Pay Range: $58,240 - $66,560/year ($28.00 - $32.00/hr)

    Flat Rate with Quarterly raise opportunities Our A level technicians will have a minimum of 10 yrs experience and require no certifications but should be expected to do all types of repairs that come into the shop.

  • B Level Technician
    Pay Range: $49,920 - $58,240/year ($24.00 - $28.00/hr)
    ($24.00 - $28.00/hr)

    Flat Rate with Quarterly raise opportunities Our B level technicians require a minimum 4+ years of experience.

  • C Level Technician
    Pay Range: $37,440 - $49,920/year ($18.00 - $24.00/hr)
    ($18.00 - $24.00/hr)

    Flat Rate with Quarterly raise opportunities Our C level technicians require a minimum 2+ years of work experience.

  • Lube Technician
    Pay Range: $33,300 - $37,440/year ($16.01 - $18.00/hr)
    ($16.01 - $18.00/hr)

    This is an hourly position

  • Student Tech / Apprentice
    Pay Range: $16 - $17/hour
