  • Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

    Heated

    Four highly experienced Service Advisors and 16 fellow technicians

  • What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

    7:30am - 4:00pm

  • What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

    The dealership provides all specialty and required tools

  • What type of break room facility is provided?

    Air Conditioned break room

  • How many bays does your shop have?

    24

  • How many repair orders do you average per month?

    1000-1200

  • What is your parts ordering process?

    We have 4 parts countermen. They are highly trained and proficient in the brand.

  • What is your policy on side work?

    Family vehicles can be worked on with Service Manager approval.

  • Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

    Chapman offers a strong one on one mentorship program, factory web based training and in school training.

  • Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

    Chapman has many long term employees as we promote from within. We offer a strong mentorship program and excellent compensation.

    Employees receive a written review 90 days after beginning employment and 3 times per year thereafter.

    Chapman has a safety committee that meets once per month.

  • Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

    Our shop mentor works side by side with the entry level technicians. He will start by teaching techs the very basics and continue on an individualized career path at a comfortable pace for the apprentice.

  • How does your shop get involved with the local community?

    Chapman is active in the community and involved with local trade schools.

  • Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

    Chapman is interested in pursuing high school students and encouraging them to consider a career in automotive repair.

  • Where do you see the shop in five years?

    Our shop is continuously expanding. In 5 years we intend to be the leaders in the diesel and electric markets.

  • Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

    Our application link is on our website and takes approx 5 minutes to complete.

  • Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

    Yes, we offer phone screening.

  • What do your in-person interviews entail?

    During the interview process, the applicant will meet with the shop mentor/production manager and tour the facility.

  • Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

    Yes

  • Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

    No

  • After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

    Communication will begin the day after the interview.

    Pay Range: $45,000 - $75,000/year

    Flat Rate with Bonus as well as Hourly plans

  • Lube Technician
    Pay Range: $25,000 - $45,000/year

    Hourly/productive with Bonus

  • Service Advisor
    Pay Range: $65,000 - $125,000/year

    Salary and Bonus plan

  • Service Manager
    Pay Range: $90,000 - $175,000/year

    Salary+

  • Student Tech / Apprentice
    Pay Range: $25,000 - $38,000/hour

    Hourly +

  • Collision Technician - A Level
    Pay Range: $65,000 - $150,000/year

    FR with Bonus

  • Collision Technician - B Level
    Pay Range: $45,000 - $85,000/year

    RF with Bonus

  • Collision Painter
    Pay Range: $75,000 - $175,000/year

    FR with Bonus

  • Collision Prepper
    Pay Range: $30,000 - $45,000/year
