The shops are heated but have no air conditioning. We do provide plenty of large fans to help cool the shop!
Most of our shops have 10 to 15 team members
Our store hours are Monday thru Friday 8:00am-4:00pm. We take pride in the fact that our team has a life outside of work. Family is important to us so we want our team to eat dinner with their family and attend sporting events and have weekends free. Spouses love us!
We have the most state-of-the-art scan tools and equipment as we work on all years and models of cars.
All of our shops have Break rooms with comfortable chairs and appliances to heat meals up.
Our bays range from 6 to 10 bays but most have 8 bays.
650
We have a Parts Coordinator that handles all parts ordering.
We discourage side work if it conflicts with our business.
You can expect to gain a few pounds as we are always doing something for our team to say thanks whether it is biscuits for breakfast or a nice lunch or grilling out. We like to have company gatherings to get the team together but Covid slowed that down. We just had a catered dinner for the team with games, music, and drinks!
We offer hybrid training, we have sent people to ADAS training, and other continuing education opportunities that we discover.
We always promote from within. All of our managers and parts coordinators come from our current team. We have career paths in writing to help our team grow.
We are very communicative so there are no surprises when we conduct semi-annual reviews. We let the team member evaluate themselves and the manager. We also have two Growth and Development sessions per year where we discuss the team members' growth and how we can help get them to the next level. We also discuss personal dreams and see if we can help them with those as well.
We have safety training prior to hitting the floor and we also require everyone to go through TIA safety training. We also have OSHA come in once every 18 months to inspect our shops for safety and health violations.
We encourage our techs to work with young and upcoming techs. We know most techs understand the value of having a mentor and being that for someone else.
We do so many things with the community that I could not name them all. Most notable is we fix cars for a group called Wheels For Hope. This organization helps people get on their feet by providing reliable cars to get to work. We donate the labor and our guys really enjoy working on these cars. They do get paid for their regular labor rate. We also work with other nonprofits such as Ronald McDonald House, the refugee center, SECU house, SPCA, and many more.
We visit our local schools and high schools on at least a monthly basis.
With the same team and continue to do the best work for our customers. We are run very well and are very busy so I do not think we focus on revenue growth as much as we do customer satisfaction.
Our mission is to create a WORK HAPPY, DRIVE HAPPY movement. We strive to make sure our team and our customers have a fun and enjoyable experience.
We use an online system that usually takes less than 30 minutes.
Our HR department does a phone screen on all candidates then the Store Manager will call and set up a face-to-face meeting.
We want to get to know the candidate and for them to get to know us. We will ask a few questions to determine skill level and work history. We typically will take a tour of the shop and give them a chance to meet and talk to our team.
We do perform background checks and drug screens prior to hiring.
No formal skill assessment. Skill set is discussed during the interview process.
If we do not have to wait to interview multiple candidates it can be a day or two.
So many factors go into this process but from application to hiring can take a week. More if we have to wait for drug test results.
