  • Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

    Heated shop however no A/C. Could be installed should we expand the shop.

  • What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

    Looking to grow up to a 12-13 person shop.

  • What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

    Monday thru Friday from 8-5. Saturday's on a rotation from 8-4

  • What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

    All you would expect to see! Brake lathe, fluid flush machines (brake and coolant) tire mount and balance machine, alignment rack, AC Charge/discharge machine, hand held snap on and autel diagnostics, motor/transmission table etc.

  • What type of break room facility is provided?

    We do not have formal break room however we do have tables set up between two department areas to take a break and enjoy lunch together as a team

  • How many bays does your shop have?

    19 bays including Alignment rack

  • How many repair orders do you average per month?

    We have 800 repair orders per month (both retail and internal included)

  • What is your parts ordering process?

    Fast moving parts in stock/others ordered as needed-held in a secure area

  • What is your policy on side work?

    Side work is not permitted during working hours. Associates are permitted to work on their own vehicle after hours with open RO and Serv and permission from the service manager

  • Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

    Great team environment!!!! There are thousands of vehicles sold annually which allows us to have consistent flow of customers both repeat and new. We know what you are searching fot!

  • Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

    We are always offering mentoring and ongoing training to our Technicians. This allows them to learn new technical skills to keep them up to date, and engaged.

  • Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

    There are many paths that our technician associates have taken. Someone who is a technician can move into inventory management, sales, Service Advisor or Manager. Some our technicians have even progressed to become a General Manager of a location!

  • Can you describe your performance review process?

    All of our associates are reviewed after they start every 18 months.

  • What type of safety training is required?

    Standard safety training as it relates to the Automotive Industry

  • Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

    Our Senior level technicians are given an opportunity to work directly with more entry level technicians and support them in their growth.

  • How does your shop get involved with the local community?

    Since we serve the local community we do participate in different community outreach programs, and are always looking to our associates to give us additional recommendations on who we can partner with

  • Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

    As of right now, we are developing relationships with local high schools and automotive trade/technical schools. One of our goals in 2022 is to enhance our relationships with these institutions.

  • Where do you see the shop in five years?

    Growing, improving processes, adding more technicians to the team as our business grows. CarShop has a whole will be expanding in other areas of the US over the course of the next years. This would allow opportunities to relocate to other areas if interested into new roles.

  • Is there anything else you’d like to mention about career development and community?

    Check out reviews on Glass door. We stand out due to our Culture, and the way we treat our people. We don't sell cars the same way traditional dealership do, and we don't manage our people the traditional way.   • Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

    We do have a CarShop application that you can complete as part of our interview process. This application is designed to ask the standard questions, but also to ask questions to get to know you as a person.

  • Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

    Yes, we conduct initial screening phone interviews before setting up in person interviews.

  • What do your in-person interviews entail?

    We will schedule you for an interview with to meet with Service Manager/Advisor, and the GM of the store location.

  • Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

    Yes, we perform background checks, and drug screening. We also ask that you complete a Talent Management assessment prior to your scheduled onsite interview. This is all done electronically

  • Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

    In the interview process we ask technical questions, and show you the service area that you would be working in and what bay you would be given to work in.

  • After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

    Allow up to 2-5 business days to know if you have been offered the position or rejected.

  • Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

    3-5 days

  • Is there anything else you’d like to mention about your hiring process?

    Our goal is to make hiring decisions quickly so that we are able to determine a start date and get you started on your way to your new career with CarShop!

  • A Level Technician
    Pay Range: $50,000 - $95,000/year ($24.04 - $45.67/hr)
    ($24.04 - $45.67/hr)

    For Senior level Technicians, we offer a flat rate and a comprehensive pay plan.

  • B Level Technician
    Pay Range: $45,000 - $90,000/year ($21.63 - $43.27/hr)
    ($21.63 - $43.27/hr)

    Compensation can be flat rate, if interested, and based on efficiency and experience.
