The Bud Clary Ford Shop is heated. There is not AC within the shop, however Bud Clary does provide Swamp Coolers that have been refurbished to new working conditions.
Bud Clary currently has a team of 7 main shop Technicians and 2 Express Lube Technicians.
Shop hours are Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm, Saturdays are optional if Technicians need extra time to finish repairs.

In out break room we offer a fill size refrigerator to store your lunch and drink, a toaster, and a full size microwave. We have table and chairs for you to relax and enjoy your breaks and lunches.
14 main shop service bays (one is a flat bay with no lift), 2 express lube bays, 1 alignment bay, and 1 outside lift bay.
Bud Clary will process an average of 400-500 repairs each month.
Technicians will put in a request for price and availability of the part needed and quotes labor time involved to repair the vehicle. The parts department quotes the part and returns the form to the advisor who opened the repair order. The advisor determines the price of the labor based on the Technicians time. If the job is approved, the advisor highlights the parts that have been approved to be ordered and indicates on the form whether or not the customer will be rescheduled by our BDC when the parts arrive, or if the vehicle is down in the shop and the parts arrive slip is given to the advisor who then informs the dispatcher.
Side work is not to be done using the Bud Clary shop or special tools, and the Technician is not to be taking work away from the dealership.

Bud Clary offers on the job training working within technician teams. Bud Clary also supports Technicians with Ford Factory Training.
Bud Clary supports promoting within the company and supports inner company training. Bud Clary has several job levels to works towards in the service department, starting form Lot Attendants to Lube Techs to Experienced Master Techs.
Bud Clary offers several forms of performance discussions, ranging from casual coaching and reviews to annual performance reviews.
Bud Clary makes safety a priority in our company. Upon hire and annually employees undergo basic safety training. The basic safety training is Hazardous communication, safe driving, PPE, Lift training, Forklift training, We focus on safety topics each month, a different topic each month, Shop safety meetings each month. We also have safety committees that offer resources and education to employees We keep up to date on safety inspections and maintenance.
Entry Level or C level Techs have the opportunity to work with a team of Experienced level or A and B level Techs. Bud Clary offers regular opportunities for coaching and advancement.
Bud Clary enjoys in participating in the local community. We partner with companies during Christmas with Giving Tree's to joining in local parades. All employees through the dealership participate in these event as well .
Bud Clary communicates with local Community Colleges and Tech Programs in the area and posts applicable jobs on those college job boards.

Bud Clary in-person interviews are done directly with the service manager. The service manager will show the potential new Technician the shop and introduce them to any Technicians that may be working that day. The service manager will also show the potential new hire the equipment that we provide for them to use.
Bud Clary is a drug free establishment and requires all applicants to do a pre employment drug screening before hire.

SUMMARY An experienced technician is responsible for performing vehicle repairs and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES • Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards • Diagnoses vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspection • Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts • Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer • Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended • Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time • Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order • Road test vehicles to quality check work performed • Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events • Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins • Inspects and test drives newly delivered vehicles for obvious damage and missing major components and drivability functions • Installs optional equipment specified by the customer or dealer • Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor • Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle • Keeps shop area neat, clean and organized • Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals.
