The shop is heated but not air conditioned. We have very large, industrial size fans that help cool the shop and keep the air flowing in the summertime.
Our service department is comprised of approximately 90 associates! This includes our certified Ford, Hyundai,/Genesis techs, medium-duty truck techs, quick lane techs, detail technicians, service admin, service advisors, and a helpful team of service porters. All of this is headed up by an awesome team of managers. This includes our service manager, assistant service manager, Shop foreman, Detail manager, Reconditioning Manager, and Quick Lane manager.
Shop Hours: 7:00 am to 6:00 pm Shifts / 7 to 4 pm or 9 to 6 pm
The shop provides all necessary tools in the quick lane along with any special tools required by the manufacturer. We also have an apprenticeship program that provides the participant with a toolbox and tools that are valued at over $10,000.00
We have 4 breakrooms on site. Our technicians seem to prefer to use the one in the shop, but we also have one in the Ford building, one in the Hyundai building and one in the Pre-Collision Center. You'll find microwaves, refrigerators, TV's, pizza ovens, Kurig coffee makers, vending machines and plenty of seating.
We currently have 44 bays at our Ford/Hyundai shop.
We average 3,900 repair orders per month at our Ford/Hyundai shop.
We are lucky to have one of the largest parts inventories in the state of Wisconsin! This allows us to complete most repairs same day. We also have great relationships with other vendors in the area to keep parts coming as quickly as possible and decrease down time in the bays.
We have open shop every Thursday night where techs are allowed to work on personal vehicles along with friend and family members vehicles.
Always! Our technicians are constantly training to stay ahead of the game. In classroom for hands on training, on line for emerging issues, new vehicle systems and general brush up, ASE certifications and more. Once a technician is ready to go World Class, we will get them there by enrolling them in the classes and of course, Broadway does pay for all training!
We pride ourself on internal advancement. In the shop, depending on where a technician starts, we offer opportunities to keep growing. Youth Apprentice, Quick Lane, Upsell Technicians, Alignment Technicians, Mentor/Apprentice Assignments, Truck Shop/Diesel Technicians, Reconditioning Technicians and Flat Rate Technicians! Broadway does not limit the advancement of our technicians to the shop only. If you want to make your way out into the drive or the parts department, your personal career goals are improtant to us and we want to help you get there.
Performance feedback is important to Broadway. When someone joins our team, we ask them to conduct a 60 day review of Broadway to give us feedback as to how their first 60 days have gone. Then we sit down and do a 90 day review to ensure you are on the right track of learning. Annual reviews happen thereafter. Outside of the traditional review, feedback is continuously provided by our leaders to help you continue to grow.
Safety is key in our shop. Safety training is done upon hire and then annually. Hazard Communication, PPE, Automotive Lift training, Emergency Response and Safe Driving to name a few!
Our seasoned technicians who have desire to help coach the newer technicians become mentors. They are assigned an “up and comer” and take them under their wings to teach them the trade. The mentor/ apprentice assignment can last from 3-9 months depending on the skill of the apprentice. The mentor earns money by having an apprentice so it’s a win-win-win situation!
Broadway has been in the Green Bay community for over 104 years. We’re proud to build relationships and support important community efforts, including: CP Center, American Cancer Society, Northeast Wisconsin Veteran’s Treatment Court, Helping out our American Heroes (HOOAH), Salvation Army, Willow Tree Cornerstone Childhood Advocacy Center and many more!
We are proud of the relationships we have build with the local high schools and technical colleges over the years. We get into the high school classrooms and teach interpersonal and interviewing skills and we have our shop foreman go into the classroom and help the students learn what’s under the hood! At the technical college level, we host different events on campus to make sure they are aware of what Broadway has to offer and we sponsor a number of their automotive fundraising events. We have provided cars to both the high school and college level classes so they are able to use them in lab.
Growing and evolving. Being pioneers in the industry. Broadway prides itself on being a leader in the automotive industry. We are trend setters, not followers!
Yes. Our application is online. You can apply at https://www.broadwayautomotive.com/employment. It can be filled out quickly by uploading a resume and answering a few qualifying questions. (2-10 mins.)
We will communicate however the applicant prefers to communicate! Phone, email, text, messenger, Zoom, etc. We understand some of you have a lot going on! We have a few qualifying questions on the application that help with some of those "must have's". From there, our recruiter will review applications and reach out (by email, phone, or text) to qualified candidates to coordinate phone or in-person interviews.
Applicants will first meet with our corporate recruiter so we can determine if the applicant is a good "culture" fit. During this time we hope to learn about a few different things. What kind of education/experience the candidate brings with them, what they want to do in the future, and what they want to find in their next employer. We'll take time to discuss the job, benefits, culture and any other questions we can answer. They will then be asked to interview with the hiring managers if it is determined to be a good match for both the company and the interviewee.
