Frank Bommarito began his career as a car jockey and car washer in 1952, at a local GM dealership. After returning from two years of active duty in the Navy during the Korean War, he advanced to New & Used car sales. Mr. Bommarito received many sales awards during his career and was ranked as high as 8th in the nation in retail sales. He became a Sales Manager at one of Missouri's largest GM dealerships. In 1998, Frank Bommarito handed over the reigns to the business to his son, John Bommarito, after his immediate success with the St. Peters location. Early on it was evident that the faith of the Bommarito Empire was in good hands. With John's leadership abilities and dedication, he put in place his plans for the future of the Bommarito Automotive Group. In June 2004, the Bommarito Automotive Group added the Buick franchise, strengthening our Bommarito “family of dealerships.” What Frank Bommarito started almost 50 years ago, as a single point Oldsmobile Dealer, has now successfully grown into Missouri’s #1 choice for consumers in all of their automotive needs. Clearly, with his son John now as president, who continues to lead with the help of over 936 Bommarito Team Members, the Bommarito Automotive Group continues to experience unprecedented growth.     Yes, both paper form and an online application. Process only takes a few minutes.

    Yes, we do a light phone screen and run through basic resume and job background information.

    More indepth conversation about technicians background, certifications and career path and goals. We also want to get to know them to make sure they are going to be a fit. Things like their personality and hobbies.

  • Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

    Yes, backgrounds checks, drug screens and personality tests.

  • Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

    No

    It's usually in about a week

    The team consists of 10 Techs who also work with service advisors, service managers, and parts specialists.

    7:00-4:30 Monday-Saturday, Saturday is a rotating shift

    All major tools provided

  • What type of break room facility is provided?

    Locker rooms provided for all technicians. Break room includes fridge, microwave, coffee maker, table and chairs.

  • What is your parts ordering process?

    We run an electronic ordering system. Technician will write service and repair recommendations and then our service team will approve it. Tech will order place order after approved

    We provide factory training for all technicians. We also promote continued education and will help along the way to enhance technicians skills and abilities.

    Growing our own team within is very important. We will help technicians set up a career path so they can achieve all their goals. Along the way we will assist in mentoring and advanced training where we can.

    Every six months we do reviews. Things covered include technicians performance, what's working/what's not, and future goals.

    No formal safety training

  • Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

    Senior technicians will assist junior techs when time allows. They will answer questions and help with repairs when needed.

    Pay Range: $60,000 - $100,000/year

    Flat Rate pay scale Based on tenure, certification and experience

  • B Level Technician
    Pay Range: $40,000 - $75,000/year

    Flat Rate pay scale Based on tenure, certification and experience

  • C Level Technician
    Pay Range: $25,000 - $50,000/year

    Based On Experience

  • Lube Technician
    Pay Range: $13 - $20/year

    Hourly pay, based on experience

  • Service Advisor
    Pay Range: $50,000 - $108,000/year

    Base salary + Commission This will be based on experience

Health Insurance Offered Employer covers 85% of plan for in network coverage. There are options for a single plan or a family plan. Copays for emergency room visits, urgent care, primary doctor visits, and specialist office visits.
