    Yes, the application takes approximately 5-10 minutes.

  • Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

    Yes, our Recruiting team will reach out to all candidates to discuss what the applicant is seeking in an employer as well as provide some information about the company as well as discuss what benefits we offer.

  • What do your in-person interviews entail?

    Our in person interviews will consist of a meeting with the hiring manager to discuss the candidate professional experience, the job duties, expectations, schedule and compensation.

  • Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

    We do require a pre employment online assessment, background and drug screening.

  • Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

    No.

  • After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

    We strive to ensure that all candidates receive a response as quickly as possible. Average is within 24 hrs after interviewing with the hiring manager.

  • Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

    We pride ourselves in being as efficient as possible and ensuring a quick turn around time. On average 3-5 days.

  • What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

    Total fixed operation's personal count is 21. 10 technicians, 3 Service Advisors, 4 parts personal, 3 support staff.

  • What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

    7:30 AM - 6 PM Monday thru Friday. 8AM-2pm Saturday

  • What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

    ALL factory required specialty tools are provided by the dealer as well as diagnostic equipment.

  • What type of break room facility is provided?

    The dealership is a new facility within the last 10 years, dedicated break room just outside of the shop with. Consisting of three tables as well as various vending machines, microwave, sink and Fridge.

  • How many bays does your shop have?

    18

  • How many repair orders do you average per month?

    We service 900-1000 vehicle's per month consisting of customer pay, warranty and internal.

  • What is your parts ordering process?

    Parts are ordered via a web based program that handles our multi point inspection. The system has a chat feature is as well, but once work is approved it automatically notifies the parts department to pull the part or to be ordered.

  • What is your policy on side work?

    Personal and family vehicles are allowed to be worked on during business hours with a repair order written for insurance coverage. We do not allow outside customer work to be done without a normal business transaction at our facility.

  • Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

    Our dealership is one of 84 total dealerships owned across the U.S. We spare no expense in investing for training and advancing employees, as well as relocation options available to one of our other dealers if the opportunity presents itself or you want to move!

  • Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

    We require online factory training to be done in accordance with the manufacture. When prerequisite training is complete and classroom training is available we will pay for all training, travel and reimburse you for the time at training. We offer scholar ship programs and tuition reimbursement for continued education.

  • Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

    Being part of one of the largest Automotive dealer groups in the United States, the sky is the limit. We offer a digital career path tool to assist with continuous growth and development as well as an internal Service Management training program.

  • Can you describe your performance review process?

    Performance reviews are conducted three times in the first year, then yearly after.We also utilize succession planning which is instrumental to ensure the continuous internal growth of our team members.

  • What type of safety training is required?

    Safety is extremely important to us so this is ongoing however we do require a annual safety training to be completed by all associates via the Asbury university which is a web based training module.

  • Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

    When a new team member joins our team in a technician position, the new team member is paired with a senior/master level technician to learn our process, shop flow and structure. This shadowing/training duration is dependent upon the new team members work experience. Master level technicians are eager to mentor and assist with the overall growth of new team members.

  • How does your shop get involved with the local community?

    Asbury Automotive dba Bill Estes Chrysler Jeep Dodge prides ourselves in community engagement by partnering with countless charity events as well as local community initiatives. The Bill Estes dealer group has been a pillar in the Indianapolis area which we continue to be a pillar in the community.

  • Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

    We are partnered with several local schools as well as pride ourselves in being a Preferred Partner with several technical colleges throughout the country assisting with resume building, mock interviewing, campus career fairs as well as offering Tuition reimbursement to Technical gradates who we on board through this partnership.

  • Where do you see the shop in five years?

    Bill Estes CJDR has grown and will continue to grow into the top Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram service facility in the state. Since the completion and relocation of our new facility we have tripled in size and business.

  • Is there anything else you’d like to mention about career development and community?

    We are one of the only Automotive groups in the country that offers premium free health care and stock equity grant awards to our front line associates. * Skilled associates are eligible after 6 months of continuous employment

  • A Level Technician
    Pay Range: $62,000 - $100,000/year

    Weekly pay, flat rate scale above NADA median average. Weekly accelerator bonus's for efficiency.

  • B Level Technician
    Pay Range: $38,000 - $70,000/year

    Weekly pay, flat rate scale above NADA median average. Weekly accelerator bonus's for efficiency.

  • C Level Technician
    Pay Range: $29,000 - $43,000/year

    Weekly pay, flat rate scale above NADA median average. Weekly accelerator bonus's for efficiency.

  • Lube Technician
    Pay Range: $21,000 - $28,000/year

    Weekly pay, flat rate scale above NADA median average or hourly depending on skill level, Weekly accelerator bonus's for efficiency.

  • Service Advisor
    Pay Range: $40,000 - $100,000/year

    Weekly pay based on gross profit produced, bonus categories for key product penetration.

  • Student Tech / Apprentice
    Pay Range: $10 - $13/hour

    Weekly pay, flat rate scale above NADA median average or hourly depending on skill level, Weekly accelerator bonus's for efficiency.

Health Insurance Offered We offer premium free healthcare ( team member only coverage) following six months tenure as of January 1st the following year:This benefit applies to the following positions (A&B Technicians, Service Shop Foreman, Body Shop Technicians, Body Shop Foreman, Body Shop Painters, Internal Techs)
Dental Insurance Offered Two dental plan options offered through Cigna.
Vision Insurance Offered Two vision plans available.
Retirement Plan Offered 401(K) Plan: All full-time and part-time team members age eligible. Asbury contributes a 50% match per pay period on the first 4% of your pre-tax and/ or post-tax Roth contribution following 12 months of employment (does not apply to highly compensated team members).
Sick Leave Offered PTO is a benefit that combines holiday time, vacation time, sick time and personal time under one umbrella. Awarded PTO will accrue at the rate of 1/12th per month and will be available for use the following successful completion of 6 months of employment.
Vacation Offered PTO is a benefit that combines holiday time, vacation time, sick time and personal time under one umbrella. Awarded PTO will accrue at the rate of 1/12th per month and will be available for use following successful completion of 6 months of employment. Technicians, master, line, quick-lube, detail, apprentices or trainee, body shop painters, preppers, detailers, body shop mechanical technicians, internal technicians, tint technicians and body shop technicians who have not used all of their PTO by the end of the year may request payment in lieu of PTO up to ½ of the total remaining balance.
Paid Holidays Offered The Company observes and closes for business on the following holidays. All active full-time Team Members, regardless of tenure will be off and paid 8 hours for each day. Pay amount will be calculated the same as PTO pay. ❑ Thanksgiving Day ❑ Christmas Day
ST / LT Disability Offered STD: You can purchase STD insurance to replace 60% of your actual 12 months earnings prior to your disability up to a maximum weekly benefit of $2,500. After age 62, benefit period restrictions apply. LTD: You can purchase LTD insurance to replace 60% of your actual 12 months earnings prior to your disability up to a maximum monthly benefit of $10,000. After age 62, benefit period restrictions apply.
Life Insurance Offered Full-time eligible team members are automatically enrolled into Asbury’s Basic Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance at no cost to you. Your basic life insurance benefit is $30,000 and the AD&D benefit is up to an additional $30,000. Supplemental Life Insurance: You can enroll for $350,000 guaranteed coverage!
