The shop is open 7am-10pm. First shift works 6:30am-3:00pm, 7:00am-3:30pm, or 8:00am-4:30pm Second shift works 3:30pm-12:00am Technician hours are flexible around outside circumstances.
All Ford specialized tools, welders, battery testers, diagnostic tools, tire balancer, and alignment rack.
Combination locker room and technician break room. Has technician only bathrooms, fridge, microwave, pizza oven, tables benches. Separate locker room for female technicians.
Our shop has 16 bays.
We average roughly 500 repair orders per month.
Parts are ordered on a daily basis through our on site parts department.
Side work is allowed on own time and not on shop property, as long as it does not effect work hours.
Being a commercial truck center we deal with larger gas and diesel vehicles than the standard car shop would. Our shop also has a quick lane division which does deal predominately with retail vehicles.
Yes, through Ford we have online training along with school training.
Through training one would have opportunities to advance as a technician, possibility of becoming a shop foreman, or move out of the shop into an advisor/administrative position.
Yearly reviews with manager about progress in skill, attendance, and attitude.
Upon being hired we have New Employee Orientation with our safety manager, whom covers all of our safety policies within the company. We have "Tool-Box Talks" semi-regularly, going over any safety issues observed by management or any safety concerns from technicians.
We pair new technicians with our Master Certified technicians to observe, learn from, and be instructed by, typically lasting 2-3 months, but varies on skill level of new technician. All of our technicians are willing to answer questions and help out if needed.
Our dealership is partnered with the Menomonee Valley community, we encourage participation in any Menomonee Valley sponsored events.
We have gone to speak local high schools and tech schools with automotive programs about the dealership and opportunities we have within the shop and for growth within the industry.
Being a dealership that opened in 1965 we intend to continue to grow with the times and begin to adapt towards the electric market as well as continue with our commercial gas and diesel customers.

An applicant would meet with the department hiring manager that would ask about experience, special skills related to automotive industry, why one is looking for a new position. Possible second interview with owners and/or other upper management.
We do background checks including driver history and drug screenings and phyiscal before hire.

Must have a minimum of three years experience in the automotive or truck industry. Performs work as outlined on a repair order with efficiently and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standard repair times. (SRT) Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair. Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts. Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer. Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order. Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician. Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools and events. Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins. Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor. Ensures that the customer’s vehicle is kept clean. Notifies the service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle. Keeps shop area neat and clean. Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received. Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to Know, etc. (Refer R-134A) Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner. Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
