The team consists of a small group of technicians (3) and a service manager.

Monday-Friday: 7:00am-5:00pm Sat: Closed

The shop provides specialty tools and equipment

What type of break room facility is provided?

The technicians have their own separate break room with locker room. Normal fridge, microwave, table, chairs, coffee maker

What is your parts ordering process?

We have a fully staffed parts department that will help you get what you need to get the truck back on the road

Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

Located in our Shrewsbury, MA headquarters, our fully staffed training facility offers year round training opportunities. With our own in house trainers we're able to keep our network technicians (no matter the location) up to speed around our changing market.

Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

We promote actively from within, whether you start off in parts or our service department we can utilize your skillset anywhere!

Can you describe your performance review process?

We provide new hires with a 90-day review process. Following that we typically hold reviews every 6 months.

What type of safety training is required?

As a part of our growing network, we have a Safety Director and location based safety teams that help to keep our work environment safe.

Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

We are very fortunate to have a talent base of technicians with years of experience in the industry. Because of their wisdom and willingness to teach, we're able to bring green techs into ATG and give them a hands-on education to get them up and running faster.

How does your shop get involved with the local community?

Through our company initiative, Haulin' 4 Hunger, all of our locations across the network patriciate in quarterly contributions of food to our local food banks and shelters. At the end of the year, all locations also donate full meals.

Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

Through our job shadowing and apprenticeship programs, ATG is committed to bringing more high school and technical students into the industry. Whether you want to turn a wrench or complete inventory, we have a space for you!

Where do you see the shop in five years?

Growing to be a larger part of the our local communities and municipalities.

Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

We do have an online application form that we do ask people to complete. But we do accept walk ins, referrals, and on the spot interviews. The online application should only take 5 minutes to complete.

Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

We prefer in-person interviews, but if needed we will do a phone screening with the hiring manager.

What do your in-person interviews entail?

For in-person interviews you will meet with the hiring manager, answer a few questions, and get a tour of the facilities and potential co-workers.

Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

We preform backgrounds checks and a drug and alcohol screening on candidates.

After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

We pride ourselves on not "ghosting" candidates. Therefore we are committed to getting an answer to you within 2 weeks.

Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

From submitting to hiring, the whole process can take upwards of 4 weeks.

A Level Technician
A Level Technicians are highly skilled technicians that have strengths in their diagnostic and mechanical ability. This level of technician typically has many years of experience and education. We view an A Level Technician as the highest skilled technician in a shop
Pay Range: $74,000.00 - $93,000.00/year

Hourly paid positions based on certification, background

B Level Technician
B Level Technicians are skilled in mechanical repair and, while not their specialty, have some diagnostic skills. B Level Technicians generally have a fair amount of experience and can be trusted to handle most repairs.
Pay Range: $56,000.00 - $74,000.00/year

C Level Technician
C Level Technicians are more of entry level technicians. C Level Technicians’ responsibilities typically include basic maintenance, alignments, brake and suspension work, along with other base level repairs.

Student Tech / Apprentice
Student technicians work on entry level tasks while completing their school programs.
Pay Range: $15.00 - $16.00/hour

ATG offers apprenticeship, co-op, internship opportunities across our 8 locations.

Parts Delivery Driver Pay Range: $15.00 - $17.00/year

We pay and hourly rate plus overtime for our Parts Delivery Drivers.

Vacation Offered
We have a tiered vacation leave plan for employees. In your first year you receive a prorated amount. On the new year following your first year after hire date you will receive 80 hours of vacation until your 9th year of employment. In your 10th to 14th year of employment you will receive 120 hours to use. After your 15th year of employment you will receive 160 hours of vacation time to use through the end of the year. Any unused vacation time at the end of the year will be paid out.
