We are the fastest growing, state of the art company in the Colorado Front Range in the auto repair industry, and getting there was no accident. Everything we do at Aspen is high quality. Through this program we want to thank our community for its support and intend to raise $1 million in the next two years.

Hiring Process
  • Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

    Our application form is on our website. It generally takes 15 - 20 minutes to complete

  • Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

    1st interview is generally over the phone where a more casual conversation is had to determine the applicant and Aspens needs.

  • What do your in-person interviews entail?

    Our in-person interviews can last as long as 2 hours, but are usually conducted and completed within 90 minutes. We have very specific questions to ensure there is an overall fit for both Aspen and the applicant. We have strict hiring practices and our decisions are based more on cultural fit than experience.

  • Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

    Background checks and physicals are requirements for each technician.

  • Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

    These questions are asked during the in-person interview

  • After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

    Applicants are notified of decisions within 48 hours.

  • Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

    3 days

  • Is there anything else you’d like to mention about your hiring process?

    The hiring process is very deliberate and detailed. We don't just hire anyone and we must be an equal match for each other.

  • Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

    The shop is heated

  • What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

    Shop teams range in size from 5 full time technicians to as many as 8

  • What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

    Store hours are 7am - 6pm Monday - Friday. Closed Weekends. Shifts run from 7am - 5pm or 8am - 6pm.

  • What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

    Shop provides multiple scan tools and subscriptions to Identifix, ISTA, AllData, Mitchell and more

  • What type of break room facility is provided?

    There is a lunch area with a refrigerator, table and microwave.

  • How many bays does your shop have?

    13 Bays

  • How many repair orders do you average per month?

    350 or more per month

  • What is your parts ordering process?

    We have an in-store "Parts-Pro" that handles all of our parts needs.

  • What is your policy on side work?

    We do not allow side work unless it is for immediate family.

  • Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?

    Morning huddles with the management team every morning. Quarterly Town Hall meetings and random picnics and company get togethers

  • Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

    We offer access to training classes and seminars. We have sent our technicians to training in San Diego, Chicago, Denver just to name a few places! We reimburse for each passed ASE certification and pay for re-certifications. We also have access to Transformers Institute which is a consulting and training company for sales advisors and technicians.

  • Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

    Aspen Auto Clinic is all about growth! Both individual and in store count! We offer a structure with a clear career path and will promote from within our current ranks.

  • Can you describe your performance review process?

    Aspen Auto Clinic utilizes "Catalytic Coaching" which involves the employee and manager input equally.

  • What type of safety training is required?

    During on-boarding and orientation you will receive training over the safe use of lifts and equipment and how to safely navigate the service area.

  • Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

    Each location has a highly trained (Usually L1 or higher) Master Technician that is responsible for working with new hires and showing them the ropes. Foreman are available for and provide detailed training.

  • How does your shop get involved with the local community?

    Aspen Auto Clinic is involved in multiple charities. We are involved in Adopt-a-trail to help keep our mountain community clean. We offer women's car care classes. New driver car care basics. We provide free work for Tessa, a women's shelter local to Colorado Springs.

  • Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

    We sponsor a scholarship for Pikes Peak Community College each year.

  • Where do you see the shop in five years?

    One of our Core Values we live by is to "Be better today than yesterday". While not a prediction of future success, we believe our culture and business platform will accelerate us into new sales highs with each passing year.

  • A Level Technician
    Pay Range: $75,000 - $120,000/year

    Guarantee is also offered for at least 60 days to get acclimated to Aspen Auto Clinic programs and process. Sr. Level Master Technicians typically never have to lean on a guarantee. We have traffic and high performing Service Advisors.

  • B Level Technician
    Pay Range: $52,000 - $85,000/year

    Guarantee is also offered for at least 60 days to get acclimated to Aspen Auto Clinic programs and process. B - level technicians rarely flag below 75 hours in a bi-monthly pay period.

  • C Level Technician
    Pay Range: $39,000 - $52,000/year

    C - level technicians are as important to us as Master Technicians. We know that the shop is driven by work that is performed or inspected by our C Techs.

Health Insurance Offered Insurance is offered through CoAdvantage, (a PEO-A professional employer organization), different plans and options are offered. $190.50 towards Health insurance. ($95.25 per pay period). Insurance starts on the 1st day of the month following the employee’s start date.

Vacation Offered After 90 days of employment an employee receives 2 hours of PTO per pay period. After a year and 90 days of employment they receive 4 hours of PTO per pay period After 5 years and 90 days of service they receive 6 hours of PTO per pay period.
