Hiring Process
  • Do you have an application form and how long does it typically take to complete?

    Our application is a paper form. Most of our hires are made through indeed where you can apply directly. If you have a resume, you don't need to fill out the paper application form.

  • Do you phone screen applicants before doing in-person interviews?

    We do a quick 5-10 minute call to setup in-person interview and go though basic questions.

  • What do your in-person interviews entail?

    1st interview is with parts/ service director, 20-30 minutes 2nd interview is with parts/ service director, owner and sales manager 20-30 minutes and includes shop tour.

  • Do you perform background checks, drug screening, or personality tests before hiring an applicant?

    No none are required

  • Do you perform a skill assessment before hiring an applicant? If yes, what does it entail?

    No not required, but we ask questions about background and experience during interview process.

  • After an in-person interview, approximately how long should I expect to wait for a rejection or an offer?

    Usually 1-3 days, if you are a rockstar candidate we sometimes will offer on the spot.

  • Approximately how long does the full hiring process take from submitting the application to the time of the hiring decision?

    Up to a week depending on schedules of dealership and candidate.

  • Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?

    Shop is heated, we have huge fans to keep it nice and cool. We are starting renovations and once completed shop will be fully climate controlled.

  • What is the size of the team I’d be working with?

    1 - A tech 2 - C techs 1 - Lube Tech 2 - Service advisors 1 - Assistant service manager 1 - Parts/ Service director

  • What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?

    Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm No Weekends!

  • What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?

    We provide all special tools from Honda including laptops. Technicians are required to have own set of tools.

  • What type of break room facility is provided?

    Our break room includes a full kitchen, microwave, refrigerator, tables, vending machines, and shop provides water and gatorade to all employees.

  • How many bays does your shop have?

    9 bays + alignment rack

  • How many repair orders do you average per month?

    600 per month

  • What is your parts ordering process?

    Parts ordered every day, technician goes though parts department directly to order parts.

  • What is your policy on side work?

    Technicians are allowed to work on personal or family vehicle.

  • Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?

    We offer trainings through Honda, NAIDA, and other resources that offer trainings. Trainings are paid for by dealership.

  • Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?

    We are a family owned facility and we prefer to keep our employees here. Depending on your career goals you can move into several different roles and openings allow.

  • Can you describe your performance review process?

    No formal performance reviews.

  • What type of safety training is required?

    No not required

  • Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?

    Depending on skill level, we try to place job with skill level. If you need help on a job you can ask a more experienced technician for help at any time.

  • How does your shop get involved with the local community?

    We support all local events, golf tournaments, local fundraisers, donations, and volunteer.

  • Do you do anything with local high schools or tech schools to encourage more students to enter the profession?

    Not at this time, but it is something we would look to do if the right opportunity presents itself.

  • Where do you see the shop in five years?

    Continued growth, get back to full staff and to do that we need to have more experienced technicians join our team!

  • A Level Technician
    Pay Range: $52,000 - $62,400/year ($25.00 - $30.00/hr)
    ($25.00 - $30.00/hr)

    $25-$30 Flat Rate, with bonus opportunities

  • B Level Technician
    Pay Range: $37,450 - $52,000/year ($18.00 - $25.00/hr)
    ($18.00 - $25.00/hr)

    $18-$25 Flat Rate, with bonus opportunities

  • Lube Technician
    Pay Range: $20,800 - $31,200/year ($10.00 - $15.00/hr)
    ($10.00 - $15.00/hr)

    $10-$15 Hourly, with bonus opportunities
